    My ab journey (with pictures)

@dawn16 Oh I know what you mean. I used to get discouraged from ever getting abs because I thought that it was all dependent on my diet (I love carbs and fruit!) but a big part of it is engaging in dedicated ab workouts!

@gwwhaley Thanks so much! In the beginning, I could only do proper Russian twists with a 6 lb ball and 1 min planks. However, I slowly got stronger and was amazed that I could even do 40 Russian twists with a 10 lb ball! If I'm running short on time, I usually decrease the number of reps for...

@michaelreece Unfortunately, a couple of pounds can make all the difference to my figure (even 5 lb is noticeable) and I gain weight REALLY easily. Therefore, I need to be mindful of what I eat. Thanks again :)

@ratnarekha They say abs are made in the kitchen but I honestly think working out abs after every workout can define them! Especially after doing some intensive cardio like in kickboxing :)

@slicey When I get to the leg raises and plank, I wait a couple of minutes to prepare myself for the abdominal torture I'm 'bout to put myself through LOL. Between each round, I take a 3-5 minute break! This routine still kicks my butt despite doing it for the past 2 months haha :)

@dawn16 My co-worker was the one that told me that abs are probably the one muscle you can work out everyday if you wanted to (also they don't get particularly sore the next day, at least for me) ! I ensure that I incorporate abs after every gym session, no matter what. Even if it's a half-assed...

@monera Thank you so much! I would recommend watching this video, particularly when he talks about the proper plank form and incorporating a crunch-like movement in your routine. The plank form is killer but works! :)

@brodieman That's awesome! Once the stomach gets flatter, you can kill it more with these ab moves :) just make sure you're doing them with control to really activate your abdominal muscles. With abs, it doesn't matter how many reps you can do in a short period of time - the key is to have...

@pjwizz Hey! Only about a month ago truthfully! I started working out around the end of May and didn't notice results until 3 weeks ago :)

@electrics I used to run for 10 minutes on the treadmill on a 1.5 incline (around level 5 to 6) before starting abs. I haven't ran in the past 3 weeks since I've gotten a little lazy, but will probably start that soon! That's amazing that you've gone down that much! Just try and walk as much as...

@paceamore I am gaining muscle! My biceps and shoulders have been more defined since I began weight-lifting. I do eat less compared to my old habits but I ensure there's a lot of protein! If you check out r/1200isplenty there are a lot of low-calorie but fulfilling recipe ideas!

@shahinshahadot It's this stand and you raise your legs (as straight as possible) to crunch your abs. I am trying to progress from the captain's chair to the bar since that works out your abs better (so you don't have that cushion in the back to support yourself). It's really difficult because...
