    8:30 mile testing

@oldgringo Treadmills are rarely calibrated. Take any treadmill distance with a big grain of sand. Use whichever one you are comfortable on.

How to make fitness, mainly running, a long-term success in practice?

@opaquepurple You don't have to, but if you want be competitive at running (run a half as fast as you can, as opposed to "just finish") and make progress in the gym, eventually you will have to. As a running lover, running feels more important than strengthening (both are important though)-...

I need help deciding if this workout should only be done once a week or if I lack a high fitness levellevel

@swan617 Nobody recommends 70 minutes of HIIT a week. I think you are confusing "vigorous" with HIIT. While HIIT is vigorous, it is at the extreme end of it. Light jogging is still vigorous exercise per the CDC. Also, that workout isn't HIIT. But that's not here or there.

I need help deciding if this workout should only be done once a week or if I lack a high fitness levellevel

@swan617 As far as I am aware, there has been no research linking random movements like that video to the benefits of HIIT training. The HIIT benefits have only been shown with basic cardio exercises such as running and cycling.

@antponetteoaks Agreed. It isn't HIIT. It is just a bunch of random exercises tossed together.

I’m stuck on my average run time and I don’t know what to do

@hightechredneck Go slower so you can go further. Couch to 5k is still likely appropriate for you. The main thing is that you shouldn’t expect to “PR” every day.
