I’m feeling overwhelmed trying to fit the gym into my 9-5 + commuting life. Tips?

@emmafontaine Yeah I think it may often just be better to leave out the details because I sense they often lead to this kind of judgment happening when we are all in different stages of life and have different ways we balance it all out. Are there storage lockers around where you work...

I’m feeling overwhelmed trying to fit the gym into my 9-5 + commuting life. Tips?

@emmafontaine I understand what you’re saying about not wanting sympathy, would just caveat that what you come across to me as perceiving as inconvenient may not be the standard here for what is inconvenient; I believe a lot of the negative feedback here comes from your feeling overwhelmed over...

I’m feeling overwhelmed trying to fit the gym into my 9-5 + commuting life. Tips?

@emmafontaine Unfortunately you wont get much sympathy here for carrying two bags for 2+ hour commute; it’s the norm for many and is just something to get used to as a bit of a “bag lady” I’d advise haha

How to deal with missing out socially because of workouts?

@bettyraene Glad this isn't getting downvoted to shit because you make some very good points that aren't brought up very often in these kinds of discussions! I completely agree that friends should not be seen as disposable and should be valued, as should the time with them and I think few...

@onya I searched 'dexa scan' on Groupon! I also live in a major US city which helps, they may not be nearby if you live in a more remote area. I think I'm going to try to increase from 3 to 4 days and be a little more diligent about increasing weight and not skipping exercises that I don't...

@michael1982 Thanks for your perspective! I agree that the focus on a number is something I need to work on getting over mentally and focus more on appearance/measurements, which I'm starting to take monthly. I unfortunately can't have a gym buddy as I travel for work so don't have a...

@dawn16 Haha if there's one thing I've learned by looking at these scans it's that every body is different and wonderful and no one carries muscle or fat in the exact same place. You could just meet your physique goal at a higher body fat percentage, who knows.

@elvennice 1) I appreciate that! I'm still figuring out my TDEE using the daily Excel calculator so it's not easy for me to do a quick intense cut until I have a better idea of what that is, but I also do think that could work well for me rather than these longer 10-12 week cuts. I googled the...

@channel4 Ah I think I was thinking of someone else then haha! Thanks for the exercises, I absolutely know what you're talking about and should probably just make time for them :) And agreed on the negatives, they strangely enough tire me out a lot and hurt my hands a bit which are just...

@channel4 Thank you so much for the sample circuit! I've noticed your documenting of your progress on this sub and it's so motivating since we are around similar height I believe! Simple question: what are your dynamic movements? I've been looking into incorporating glute activation exercises...

@iconoclast I know right, it's so fascinating how I've seen people 10-15 pounds heavier than me, inches shorter, with less body fat! I find it interesting to notice the differences between my body that I consider myself to be mostly arms and legs compared to torso, compared to some women that...

Dexa Scan Results I apologize in advance for the novel...format for this post inspired by /@differentviews! I'd seen a lot of Dexa scans on this subreddit and, as many women here, have felt like a slave to the scale for, realistically, over a decade. I did this Dexa scan to hopefully help me...
