    Can I achieve a better aesthetic with body weight exercises only?

    @avodat I disagree with the "only if you really challenge yourself": when you always leave 1 rep in the tank (so go to 70-80%), you still improve your strength a lot, but it is more likely you stick with it and the chance on injury is much lower due to better form.

    Very uplifting article I found about female strength training. Belief in yourself and your abilities is so important!!

    @dawn16 Society also systematically underestimate women in STEM; the question whether their subject isn't "too hard" for them is really discouraging. And when you've got your degree, you might find yourself having to take on more of the "soft" tasks at work as well.

    @uticus For me, it's three things: I like being strong for "everyday" events. Carrying heavy boxes/instruments/etc for whatever reason? I can do it. A hike or race for fun? Let's go.
