@jcisthelight I did this all the time pre-Covid. Except I didn't drive in between places, I hiked. I'd take a train out to a village somewhere, get on a trail, hike to the next town, stay overnight at a bnb, then repeat the next day or couple of days. Then train back home. Of course this is in...
