@timmyt30 You are me in a nutshell. My parents are both overweight. My dad will lose 30 lbs, gain it back. It's a constant cycle. Mom will complain, lose 5lbs, gain it back. They've seen the changes I've made but don't honestly seem to want to change themselves. I can't make them, so sadly...

Currently running 3-4 days a week, crossfit 3-4 days a week. On day 5 of my cut, and so far I've been below 1800, averaging upper 1600s. So far so good. I keep having urges to look at the scale but I hid it on purpose. Goal is a solid 30 days on track and then I can re-evaluate if I need a...

@beaton I started with 30 days. Succeed on the cut for 30 days, then re-evaluate. I don't want my fitness to suffer too much. I have goals!

@beaton wow girl, sounds like an intense cut! As for the headaches, if they don't go away in a couple days (and it's not sinus) it's worth looking in to. My first comment of advice is to focus on protein (especially for the lifting aspect). It's easy when cutting to not have enough protein...

@seekinghim26 Thank you! I'm excited, both are my first events like this as well! I've only "raced" a 5K before, but I'm following a half training plan, and hoping crossfit will help with the tough mudder

@seekinghim26 oo how fun! I have a half marathon in May, and a tough mudder in August :) Any idea where your TDEE is? You're quite active, I'd be curious how ours compares.

@acer621 Basically a costco sized warehouse full of rigs on one side, oly platforms in the middle. On the end side is a spin room and treadmills. Outside is an entrance to a 10+ mile trail for hiking/running/exploring. This place is huge because I want others training with me, but I wouldn't...

@timmyt30 Thank you so much for sharing! I'm going to add a comment with my whole backstory as well. It really helps to get to know each other. So sorry to hear what you've been through, but you wouldn't be you without it. Veggies are so important. I add veggies to every lunch and dinner (...

@laura1226 They should add in tickets, like at a deli counter, so you could just wait for your turn. Plus if they were on #12 and you're #15 then you know you have awhile to wait

A question for runners with thick thighs

@chrisjackson960 I've had the same happen to me. compression is fine when biking, but running it just doesn't work for me

Issues at the gym with 2 dudes

@austinjoel2001 Management absolutely. If they are on something, then the police. It's personal safety, don't feel any need to play "nice"

Hot take: ladies, is dating getting difficult after doing CrossFit?

@royblizzard Those simply aren't your men. My fiance loves my CF body (trap queen) and prior to being with me had no idea what crossfit was. Many other guys were "scared off". Good riddance, it's not worth spending time around those who don't appreciate it or find it intimidating.

@carolinealive37 we should have an update thred at the end with before/afters. I think it would be soo cool to see so many ladies of the same stats. I guarantee we will all look way different!

Published Article - Creatine intake for females - a lot of benefits, very little downsides (strength, depression, body composition) :)

@worshiper1994 Interesting read for sure. I stopped taking creatine awhile back because I personally never noticed any changes (in recovery, etc) but I realize this is a lot happening behind the scenes that I wouldn't necessarily be aware of. Time to order another supply I suppose and throw it...
