[52 F] Weighted Overhead Barbell Squats = Fall, go boom

@ihavetwofeet41 You completed them all until the last set when you pushed the pace. Absolutely DON'T quit the class. Overhead squats are not easy. Post a form check, there are likely comments we can make to assist. Overall though, sounds like you just weren't ready for that speed. Focus on...

A question for runners with thick thighs

@timothysir Personally, I can't run in spandex/form fitting shorts. No matter how many brands I try they always ride up. Instead I stick with more of this style because they are loose. I also make sure they have a drawstring waste band so that I can keep them from falling down haha. The joy...

Just joined a CF gym and I’m confused

@nicolenik Your calves are worked on the box jumps, on the single leg movements, on the step ups, etc. Similar with the other muscle groups you listed, they have all been worked by the workouts listed here.

Was it dangerous to bail out of my squat with my hair like this? (See image)

@johnmarsten If this is his background he probably did mean well, he probably saw lots of youtube videos of people getting caught, But again yours isn't a problem.

@asifasif44 your body has a BMR, the basic calories it needs simply to function. to pump your heart, to move your muscles, to let you blink. every little thing. So at minimum you need to eat that much. Given your height and age, it's above 1000. at least 1100-1200. So yes, please, bump...

My spin instructor made me cry!

@cepha Absolutely report to management, this is so incredibly rude, unprofessional and so many other negative things. You are PAYING for a class, you should not be subjected to any treatment that you do not want.

@southerner117 Listen to your body, it will tell you. Hungry is ok, but lethargic, headaches, etc all likely mean it's not enough. I tried for 1200 last year and it made me feel awful. 1700 a day feels ok.

How do you incorporate pull up works into your routine?

@joshgale123 Should I change my banded assisted pull ups into 4 sets of 3-6 reps of eccentrics? 4 sets of 6 negatives is A LOT. Don't be surprised if you can't handle that many. I would recommend starting with targeting 3 reps. I agree that yes, replacing the banded pullups is a good starting...

@hlb Relevant post from ~2 weeks ago Exercise Benefits The changes to my body are great, but it's the confidence and endorphin rush of good workouts that really makes all the difference in the world.

@seekalways That was the idea haha, as there was a lot of us with nearly identical stats in the original "summer cut post". But then everyone joined in. The more the merrier, so no worries either way.

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@parabarb They are great as accessory pieces. I see so many people only doing banded pull-ups, however, and then getting frustrated when they can't complete a standard bodyweight pull-up. Get those negatives in!! Can't wait to hear your success story
