already dreading tommorow's cringe 9/11 tribute

@marieb3 I have never heard of a coach doing this. We did do 9/11 Wods but no one acted weird. I just remember it being awkward because one year I got chalk in my eye and it looked like I was crying :/

What do y’all think of speakeasy gyms?

@pj1070 It wasn’t even an email, it was on Facebook 😂 a private group but still. The funniest part was when they wrote “DO NOT SHARE THIS ON SOCIAL MEDIA”

I feel like my boss is taking advantage of me??

@heloisebellamy Noice When you say “in writing” would that have to be like an official document or could it just be like a text message?

Inspired by someone else’s post which turned out to be asking about coffee What’s happening at your box? Any drama? Who’s dating who? Ik some people may consider these posts tacky but I remember the good old days when this subreddit was all about the drama and not only about like how your pull...

@pena I’m confused too because in this post you shared it says he’s late 20s, but about a month he has a post that says he’s 21

What do y’all think of speakeasy gyms?

This was earlier in the yr when we were under a real lockdown, and I’m in the USA. There’s a gym in my area that told all its members they officially closed but that members could still come work out at certain times—like morning and night when the sun is not out. They have to park in the back...

For Olympic lifts, do those who lift impressive numbers ever get impressed by people who lift substantiallyrics less?

@harrantion Remember you are only doing it for you. Realistically, some people will be impressed and some will not. Most will not give your numbers a second thought tbh

Deadlifts *always* hurt my lower back

@abidein I had several different coaches watch my form at different times when I’d do deadlifts

@hawleyray Yes!!! This 💯 If you lift a lot w bad form im watching in horror, but a lift with good form is impressive no matter the weight. And if you can do a lift w good form you know you have the potential to go higher safely

Deadlifts *always* hurt my lower back

@najah7791 I have really tight hamstrings and have always had really tight hip flexors, so maybe that’s it. Worth looking into

Deadlifts *always* hurt my lower back

@bradleyfarm Yes! Actually I have done that before and it really helped. Also, I can do sumo deadlifts without too much trouble

Deadlifts *always* hurt my lower back

@helloitsme More like really sore and tired. It feels like I’m working out my lower back instead of hamstrings/flutes

Deadlifts *always* hurt my lower back

So I’m not currently doing CrossFit but figured I’d post since I might go back soon. I did CrossFit regularly for years, going 4-5 days a wk. I’m female, 5’7 and ~150 lbs. I love the weightlifting aspect of CrossFit, and all my lifts (OH, clean, back/front squat, clean and jerk) were pretty...
