10k challenge starts in the morning.

@crazycat2005 Maybe just try doing the swings first to see how you handle it, then add exercises as you see fit? What worked for somebody else might not work with you.

Advice: the Giant 1.0 or 3.0 again?

@youngman4god There is, officially now. But before then, fans of the Giant program had already unofficially came up with it to bridge the gap from 3.0 to 1.0. It's pretty simple, just add a rep to each number from 3.0, and that's 3.1, then run that for a month and add another rep to those...

Advice: the Giant 1.0 or 3.0 again?

@hunter101 Probably because 1.0-1.2 is all done with a 10 rm, so you're still working with the same strength baseline, when I did 3.0 I still wasn't very accustomed to the 24's and really struggled with making that 3.0-1.0 jump.

    Giant 3.0

@hunter101 That's the one. I know I'm not the guy you're asking, but I also have it and think it's probably overall better value than the Giant, which is only C+P. It teaches you how to incorporate other exercises with the C+P and also along with having a bridge for 1.0 to 1.1, has the same for...

Advice: the Giant 1.0 or 3.0 again?

@hunter101 Yeah, I think Geoff saw that people were already doing that so he may as well make it official.

Advice: the Giant 1.0 or 3.0 again?

@hunter101 There actually is now, it's part of the package that comes with the acf.fit app program: https://chasingstrength.com/giant-app/

    The Giant

@kikelomo Geoff has recommended elsewhere you could start week 1 with 20 min., week 2 with 25, week 3 go all out with 30 min. then cut back to 20 for a deload week(or not).

Advice: the Giant 1.0 or 3.0 again?

@lfedora It's all up to you, but you're already making good progress with the 24's, personally I'd run 3.1, then even 3.2 if you felt you needed it.

    Giantkiller Review

@lbeebe48 I would go with Maximorum or DFW remix next based on what you said you want to do, or even a new combo of both? you seem to be good at coming up with a program that suits your needs.

Update: It’s been 8 days and I’m still at it!(100 swings)

@dkeefe I actually don't own one, but I've seen others recommend this. When I first started I focused mainly on swings like you are, but I didn't know about adjustables and bought a ton of bells from 16 to 32 kg. They didn't go to waste, as I moved on to other exercises, but it would have been...

    A Giant WTF (Program Review)

@imeldaspoetry It depends on what you want, bumping up 1 or 2 kg while recycling 1.0 would be great for strength gains. 1.1 and 1.2 is more focused on hypertrophy and increasing work capacity by pushing your threshold for strength/power endurance.

Update: It’s been 8 days and I’m still at it!(100 swings)

@dkeefe If you are going to stick with swings for a while, buying an adjustable kettlebell might be a good investment. You could increase the reps but if you're already knocking out 100 everyday without a problem it's probably time to jump up in weight.

    DFW first timer , questions

@caz911 Maybe you can run another one of Geoff's programs, like the Giant? If you have a 11 rm with the 20's it would be perfect. After running that you could retest your 24's to see if you can get the 5 rm requirement. Only downside is Giant is all C+P, but if you're going for strength and...

    Geoff Neupert Strength Standards

@snowlucario Got this email last night, and strangely enough, this is actually my goal. Currently running KB Strong with the 24's at the moment, got a pair of 28's waiting for me for when I finish which I anticipate to be mid-Sept. when I'll start Strong over again, and again with the 32's...

C&P: Mixing KB weights in same session

@christiangirl2017 heavy weights are low reps(1-3), higher rests. medium weight about 5-8 reps less time(1-2 minutes), light weight about 9-11 reps same time(1-2 min) Usually done for max sets within a 30 min. time frame regardless of the weight, the weight determines how much actual work...

    The Giant

@snowlucario hey, haven't seen you for a while, how's the tendonitis? mine comes and goes, but it's gotten a lot better.

C&P: Mixing KB weights in same session

@wolfshield I actually prefer to mix different weights for C+P, but did them on separate days, for example using 28's one day for pure strength training, then on another day using 24's for hypertrophy, and sometimes even back to the 20's for pure conditioning. Doing them on different days...

    Geoff Neupert Strength Standards

@jccarlos26serra Same here, I'm doing C+P with 24's but go back to my 20's for double squats. I'm definitely one of those that tends to skip 'leg day'.
