    Most important non-gym habits?

@yeswin Diet! Not going insane with it but actually just being very mindful of what you eat and what it means in terms of nutrition. You should be eating a bunch of protein, reduce the amount of empty calories (sodas, alcohol or whatever) and stop going super hard on carbs and saturated fats...

Looking for advice on progress or improvement

@metrolimousines My point being that building muscle requires a lot of energy, and if you are trying to slim down, you basically have your body on an "energy deficit" big enough for it to start burning energy storages (aka fat) to keep up with your activities. Now, building muscle will be the...

Looking for advice on progress or improvement

@metrolimousines I think you already know your answer, trust the process and stay consistent! It's a slow process. Building muscle on a deficit is rough and only a handful of scenarios work "fast", ie you were very fat and started working out, or your caloric deficit is rather small. You won't...

Struggling with eating … too many sweets

@messagesoflove If you ever talk with someone who's had a drug addiction, you hear them talk about removing the triggers. Sometimes, it's not only the thing itself, but whatever rituals you've got around them. It's easy to say to go cold turkey and simply never consume them again, but if you...

Is three weeks of the gym worth it?

@ecco Yes. You'd be surprised how little time our body needs to think "hey I don't think I need this fibers, I might as well let them fade away". You might not be training for growth, but you gotta train to prevent loss.

Struggling with eating … too many sweets

@ecce There's been studies showing that sugar triggersa a response on the brain, almost exactly and amplified, than cocaine. Of course cocaine does other things, but sugar makes your brain go nuts for it. The best way around it, it's just don't eat refined sugar, ever.

How long does it take to get to body like this ?

@olliegen Your goal is more diet orientated. Dude looks to be between 10-15% body fat. Also, you won't look like him, your natural body shape is just different, in terms of waist to shoulder ratio. I wouldn't say you are super far away from him. The slowest part is to build muscle. Losing fat...

    Am I overtraining my glutes?

@blever If you like training, keep doing it. We can't stop you! :p But jokes aside, specially being a beginner, you don't need that much estmiulus for growth at this point. Like I said, those magic numbers are for reference, and it means that a certain point the amount of fatigue you generate...

    Am I overtraining my glutes?

@blever I think you might be overworking, yeah. You've got a lot of junk volume in my opinion. And if you are actually managing that much load, you are not training as hard as you could probably. Because there's no way you'd recover that fast for the next session if you did. I'm leaning...
