After Almost 2 years I admit defeat.. I don't know what to do anymore

@evnwlsn I know you aren’t replying to me but to lose fat you need to eat fewer calories but what you need to do is to build muscle which you do while eating around maintenance (use a tdee calculator to estimate). Those two goals are in opposition so generally people build muscle first and...

How much is a good caloric deficiency?

@nuggets71 Id guess at light activity so to lose 1lb a week you would need to eat 1300. Being honest it’s tough to get everything you need in 1300 plus if you’re not eating regularly spaced meals you’ll likely be under eating vegetables and maybe underrating filling protein foods. I think...

How much is a good caloric deficiency?

@nuggets71 I’ll be the bearer of bad news and say 1500 plus cheat meals isn’t a deficit for you. Your sedentary tdee is 1500, light exercise is 1800 and moderate is 2000. Your 4 exercise classes a week are likely only light exercise, especially if you have a desk job. Also you should try...

Help me with tips of how to actually get out of bed and make it to CrossFit! 😣

@p77cf I would find another gym or ask the owner if there’s anyone else who might be interested in a 10am or lunchtime class. They’re some of the busiest classes in my experience because they suit so many shift workers, parents and those who work from home

Advice for making strength training at home not so boring?

@schulte Two things that have worked for me before was listening to podcasts or audiobooks and muting the videos or breaking my workout up and doing it 10-15 minutes at a time.

@p77cf Can you go to a 10 or 12am class instead?

2024 semifinals - Oceania, and North America West - Day 2

@mbahchidinma I really hope they’re finished with trying to gotcha the top athletes and are just letting them “serve god” for a year or “be injured” or whatever excuse they choose.

14 years of lifting and hit a point where I can’t because of work — how can I motivate myself? 34/f

@tangenica You can’t do 6 am classes? That’s likely your best bet in general, even if it’s training at home

Programming that is creative/has variety and keeps you interested?

@scrambled I’m 4 weeks in and smiled to myself when i did some forward bounds and they felt good in my body and like i had so much spring. I’ve never felt like that before plus i’m adding weight onto my big lifts, there’s magic in those programs.

14 years of lifting and hit a point where I can’t because of work — how can I motivate myself? 34/f

@tangenica Also as above you can get away with 2 strength days. Maybe something like running even on a lunch break would fit in easily

Programming that is creative/has variety and keeps you interested?

@emiles97 I’m doing natacha oceanes reload program right now and it has hypertrophy, strength and some dynamic moves which are new to me. I’m getting stronger, growing muscles and starting to feel more athletic. This is her beginner/restarted program so you would probably choose one of her other...

14 years of lifting and hit a point where I can’t because of work — how can I motivate myself? 34/f

@tangenica Is there any type of exercise that you might enjoy right now? Something like spin classes or crossfit might fit better because it’ll happen at a certain non negotiable time

Strength training vs running for fat loss?

@pero Both, everyone should be doing aerobic exercise and strength training. Follow a running specific strength training plan maybe with additional arm and shoulder work for aesthetics, shorten your runs as needed to fit this in

What would an ambitious but achievable team of trusted fitness advisors look like to someone wanting to transform their health and fitness?

@saltysplash Honestly it seems like a meal delivery service would get you 90% of the way there. What’s the issue? Are you unclear on what a typical meal should look like for you?

    Rogue Invitational - final day

@jakefromsf I think it was very clearly directed at everyone saying she needs to beat tia to be legit. Tia didn’t have to compete, she clearly felt ready enough to attempt it

After Almost 2 years I admit defeat.. I don't know what to do anymore

@riverrat84 Obviously because you think that all the women with big arms are doing more than arm workouts. Their arm workouts are very likely more effective than the arm workouts you were doing before you found pole dancing. What weights did i post, do you think 15kg dumbbells are light?

@riverrat84 I think you underestimate how hard other women work in the gym.

    Can we talk weight gain?

@pdbcm If you’re a little sore then you’ll be heavier. If you’re prioritising protein then it’s likely you’ve upped your calories too
