Demonizing an entire macro nutrient is probably the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Don’t fall for the fads trying to demonize carbs

@saved1994 Ya you’re dealing with sycophantic nut jobs who refuse to accept reality if it’s incongruent to their feelings. They literally think gluconeogenesis (aka your body is starving for glycogen) gives the same performance effect as carb loading.

High volume/highfrequecy advance Arnold split caused an energy crash/fatigue and muscle/joint sourness

@kendraw This is just cardio with weights. It’s such a shame most pro bodybuilders give the most dogshit advice and poor souls like OP eat it up blindly

To what extent is bulking superior to recomping for an intermediate lifter?

@leyanis Try “lean bulking”, which means eating in a small surplus (about 300 calories above maintenance). This will minimize fat gain but still allow for muscle growth to occur.

Any cons on doing upper-lower split 3 x week?

@greenmart123 This is essentially the old school DC split (popularized by Dante Trudel who’s still one of the most respected underground figures in bodybuilding). If your exercise selection is on point and you’re progressing across all your exercises, you should have no issues

Demonizing an entire macro nutrient is probably the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Don’t fall for the fads trying to demonize carbs

@sbmor777 I mean I eat mostly chicken and rice but because it’s cheap as fuck and easy to meal prep. Nothing magical about them obviously.

What are your favorite types of sets?

@orthodox_christian straight sets in which i beat my logbook numbers are by far the most important sets to me. Idc what the RIR is but usually it falls somewhere between 2RIR and 0RIR. Also this is kinda semantic but technically 0RIR is not failure. Failure is actually failing a rep, whereas...

Demonizing an entire macro nutrient is probably the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Don’t fall for the fads trying to demonize carbs

@lepomis Generally bodybuilders don’t fall for diet fads. This sentiment needs to be articulated in the more normie fitness/diet subreddits
