    4 years of hard work

@silsophi You’re right. Steroid use permanently increases muscle strength and growth potential by increasing the number and density of cell organelles. Their natty potential is increased vastly and ability to regain the muscle is also increased. It’s one of the reasons I believe that any...

    4 years of hard work

@silsophi I have had the exact same thoughts, frequently. We are in the same boat. I know that voice inside your head, and the wasted time researching steroid side effects, etc. I'll provide an alternative to that voice, coming from a medical background. I'm gonna make a few assumptions that you...

Genetics aren’t what you think they are

@nbj486 I have never subscribed to genetics that much in the context of building muscle. It does matter probably for professionals because of their insertions. Recently, I actually have been wondering if I have bad hip genetics or is this is just fat? There seems to be a divet where my hips...

Whats your normal rep drop off between sets? Does it change for each exercise? Interested to hear if this varies for different people

For example, hitting 10 reps on a first set, then 9, then 8; I saw someone once say that when they see such small rep drop-offs, they question whether the first set/few sets were hard enough. I personally notice that if I truly push to absolute failure (i.e. really leave nothing in the tank), on...

“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

I’ve been a big fan of Dr Mike. But I have noticed I’ve been overthinking shit a lot lately. Interested in a discussion about this video!

New "RIR 1-2 vs RIR 0" Study - Similar gains

@frustratedhusband Leg extensions are one of those ones where you can keep going with an ever decreasing ROM until you hit “true” muscular failure. I like to go until I can’t fully extend all the way, and then try and get 3 more half reps super strict.
