Is there a trusted "Has-it-all-vitamin" for Men?

@sabu935 How do you feel about leeches? lol

    Getting weaker on squats

@bjpascoal Weight training increases bone density. I'm guessing that isn't an issue. Others said "follow a program", great, but are missing why. Two things, periodization and maybe deloading. I think most intermediate/advanced programs will include an implicit deload week. You might consider...

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@harvest28 Thank you, you get it. and I'm looking at the template for tactical barbell on liftvault right now. I just checked out the eBook from the library (3rd edition, book one)

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@harvest28 Thank you for this. I love the ideas and theory on this page and I want to give it a try on my bonus gym day (don't have a regular program on that day). I completely forgot about sled pushes. Our treadmills at the gym have a sled mode. It's good stuff. My concern of course is as...

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@chryssa1791 Any particular body weight exercises in mind? I'm thinking of doing dips again, I'm a bit worried about my elbows but a couple of sets is no big deal.

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@kasia7777 I've been thinking about warming up for bench press with chin ups or pull ups actually. Get your back warm first, etc. What you're describing earlier though is sort of a high intensity interval style thing. Maybe I should be doing that again once a week... Don't like sit ups, don't...

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@mikedelmar Sorry, I totally messed up my last reply out of annoyance in general to the reactions to my post, sorry you caught that. Yes, I would like a program which mixes in athletic movements. I got recommended one which I'll maybe use once I read more about it and after I plateau on my...

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@mikedelmar I do 3 out of the 4 already. Belt squat though and working towards doing RDLs again. I don't need a program, I've one I like already which I'm progressing on.

@paulotarsus Sort of like wood choppers, which I might bring back, mix with sprinting or something. Triple extension example you gave reminded me of a simpler version of snatch, clean & jerk. Might try it with a KB. Mix it with a turkish get up or something

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@elministro50 Interesting... I've seen people do it with RDLs and even with bench... I'll look into it a bit more. Especially for side-to-side imbalances

Is there a trusted "Has-it-all-vitamin" for Men?

@mturling Not going to really answer your main question here, so sorry, but I strongly suggest you add one thing at a time and see how you react to it for a couple of weeks before adding the next thing. Without a doubt, start with creatine. Would also start right away with D3, those two won't...

@sinnerchief I think there is a ton of great advice out there. The difficulty is in personalizing it both for your body and your personality. There are grifters out there for sure though

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@sinnerchief I know... tons of research on stuff comes out every year but apparently it is set in stone and everyones goals, outcomes, bodies are the same.

Working out with babies requires sacrifice from the entire family

@redeemedsinner Yeah, pretty much spot on. Some people have different economics circumstances and can "buy" some of their time back and as a result can get to the gym and then in turn flex on social media. Hate em. It was effectively impossible for us with kids during the pandemic in NYC to...

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@chryssa1791 Maybe I should upgrade from my once-a-week (missed a couple) restorative class to a regular vinyasa flow. Chair pose murders me, few others as well.

hybrid functional strength programs? also... avoiding the big 4 nonsense

@chryssa1791 Haha, AthleanX is so obviously over the top. Put on a damn shirt guy. I only recently found out about the fake weights controversy. Sad! I've gotten a lot of value from Jeff Nippard and Renaissance Periodization I'll say though, but their primary audience and goals differ from my...

@olirain I'm very glad that you have something which works for you and people like you. I applaud you. But I am just as uninterested in your opinion today as I was the other day. And to the people upvoting - great for all of you, happy for you to.

@ipray4u Just don't give the advice then and save yourself the keyboard strokes.

@ipray4u Good for you. Not asking to reinvent the wheel. Y'all get triggered so easily when people don't worship at the altar of the big 4 - which I do 3 of by the way, but no one really cares to read.
