Videos of women outdoing/keeping up with men in physical activities?

@nordicgirl I don’t really think about this or have any favorites. But I noticed this with the reality show the Climb about rock climbers. The women held their own and I think just as many of them made it to the semis as men. A trans man won.

Morning workouts - prep, routine and everything else

@charlieparker Meal prep lunches and dinners on the weekend. The night before, I set out my clothes and protein powder. -3:45 am: alarm goes off. Get up, brush teeth & wash face, put on clothes, drink protein shake (and maybe a banana on lift days), warmup (typically Bodyweight squats, leg...

What are your favorite protein sources?

    @adriennesays All good! I agree that I could've been clearer. It's a learning experience!

What are your favorite protein sources?

@adriennesays What would you suggest? I could’ve just said chickpea or lentil tofu. I did say that my store sells a chickpea one.

What are your favorite protein sources?

@adriennesays Soy is only 1 legume. There are other legumes that are not soy.

Is this dumb? Why can’t I enjoy my free gym options? Just get the expensive membership?

@jay1969 I go to a commercial gym. I rent my housing currently and want to workout with barbells, dumbbells, cables, and other machines. So I need to go to a gym. Thankfully there is one close to me that has the equipment I want for $15/month. I would prioritize convenient location, equipment...

Is this dumb? Why can’t I enjoy my free gym options? Just get the expensive membership?

@jay1969 Sounds like you need to work on being consistent with gym going or whatever exercise regimen you want to do. In today’s world, I would never pay $250/month for a gym membership…and I can afford it. I’d opt for the free apt gym. But you gotta do you. If paying $250 will get you in a...

What are your favorite protein sources?

@blindly28 Legumes. You can eat like a can’s worth with veggies and get 25g of protein for about 400-450 calories. Legume based tofu. My grocery store sells a chickpea based one but I’ve heard it’s also relatively easy to make.

I think my nutrition is good but my body doesn't change much

@ksimmons4494 You’re the opposite of being full of shit 😂 4-5 times per day is definitely not normal for a human adult. Eat less protein. 0.8g/lb of body weight is sufficient. 1g/lb at the most (unless you just love it and have the money to spare).

Sporty people: Where do you get all of your protein?

@reneaz First question is how much do you weigh? Why do you think you need 120g of protein? Protein powder Soy products: tofu, TVP, soy curls, soy milk, edamame Seitan Protein bars Some faux meats High protein bread products: a lot of keto options are higher protein and lower calorie

How do you eat enough protein without feeling disgustingly full be the end of the day?

@foreverbounds If OP were weight training and trying to build muscle, 1.6g of protein per her 65kg BW - 105g of protein would not be unreasonable. But if she’s not that active and not trying to build muscle, then getting that much is unnecessary. I’m weight training 3x/week and trying to cut...

How do you eat enough protein without feeling disgustingly full be the end of the day?

@foreverbounds I eat 150 g of protein/day (108 kg BW) and still get ~200 g of carb (mostly starch). I find having >100 g of protein makes life a lot more pleasant for me than when I was probably getting 80% of my calories from carbs (primarily starch). Protein is so much more satiating to me...

What are your favorite snacks between lunch and dinner?

@dcyshy I generally just have some fruit between lunch and dinner. I don't have 7 hours between those meals. If I had to wait 7 hours, I would try to find a way to eat dinner earlier or would eat a bigger lunch. Probably would still want a snack, depending on time between meals.

How do you eat enough protein without feeling disgustingly full be the end of the day?

@raveningwolf If she's having trouble getting enough protein with higher protein foods like tofu, legumes would make it even harder. Because legumes have a lot of carbs (they're primarily a carb source, not a protein source) and fiber. Legumes are extremely healthy and should be part of her...

    Recommend me a program

@georgieq I started with the r/fitness Basic Beginner routine and now I'm doing GZCLP. GZCLP can be run as a 3-day or 4-day per week routine. I do it 3 days. I really like it so far (5 weeks in). Check out the r/fitness wiki for other recommended routines.

After Almost 2 years I admit defeat.. I don't know what to do anymore

@evnwlsn I see tremendous progress between the photos!! I would keep lifting and as others have suggested, going heavier is probably a good thing. When it’s all said and done, you may always have loose skin/flabby arms. I think it might be helpful to reframe how you see your arms. I hope you...
