“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

@akguy Natty bodybuilding is a long game and RP hasn't been around for that long, and since they never placed themselves in the natty bb niche (both the owners are juiceheads) I'm assuming that number is extremely low. If I'm paying big bucks for coaching I'm getting people already known for it...

“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

@unknown404 His programs are based on 10RMs too, don't know why everyone is talking about low weights here since if you are doing a RP program you will be working around the 8-14 rep range, perfectly normal. He just says you should never do cheating reps and go full rom, the slow tempo stuff...

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@oregongirl1 I mean he was one of the researches in those "lengthened partials" studies and his PHD is about them I believe, so I guess it's fine he preaches them so much, he saw them working in person.

Most Trainees Lift Too Far Away From Failure (discussion)

@dawn16 Seriously, these lifting subs are for hardcore lifters, most people here know what failure with good form is, it's not that difficult guys, just lift until you can't physically finish the rep without cheating And I'm gonna add that this study pick the lift where universally most people...

“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

@helen2002 He is very charismatic and uses "cult following" tactics. I'm not saying he is ill intentioned or anything like that, but he is very smart and knows what the fuck he is doing.

Most Trainees Lift Too Far Away From Failure (discussion)

@brock Exactly, if you increase the reps week to week you will reach that true failure eventually

“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

@helen2002 Mike advertises one way to train, it doesn't mean others don't work. Joe Bennet is a science guy too, but he doesn't follow 100% of what the scientific community is doing, he developped his own way of training and passes it on to his clients.

Anyone done PPL once a week with success?

@michael67 Blows my mind how people are so hang up on the first study, but when Brad himself says all the time training frequency doesn't matter. Training a muscle 1x per week works just as well as 6x per week, according to science.

How does progressive overload ACTUALLY work?

@brianlee3271 The biggest misconception about progressive overload is that it's responsible for hyperthrophy. It's actually a by product of hyperthrophy. You do a workout or a series of workouts -> if they are challenging enough you gain muscle -> with that new muscle you can lift more weight...

What’s your experience eating far below calories for a small period of time?

@austinsugden I tried 1200 for a few weeks and stopped because I had no energy to even walk. My legs would get so tired after walking for a few minutes... After that I upped my calories again AND cardio do keep losing weight.

“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

@oregongirl1 Eric Bugenhagen has the best take on RP imo If you don't wanna watch everything just go to the end. Mike is just using personal training tactics that PTs have been using for decades. Get someone huge and jacked to do something they never did before and no shit, of course they are...

“Renaissance periodization has jumped the shark” - Alex Bromley. Any thoughts on this video?

@swsavedbygrace He went from being a gym owner and coach to full time youtuber, he needs the money drama brings, it's just what it is.

    4 - 6 exercice per muscle by workout ?

@solokwa There are multiple ways to train, that instagram post you linked is talking about one. I would assume it's high intensity medium to low volume approach. You can very much progress with 12 to 20 sets per muscle group in a workout, many people have done it (including me), we even have...

6.2ft or 6.3ft tall natural bodybuilers example

@aaarmstee67 Maybe Eric Helms? He looks tall at least Ngl bodybuilding doesn't treat tall guys that nicely, it's very hard to find a great, tall bodybuilder even with PEDs

hey can someone review this new and improved workout? Chat gpt says its good lol

@benzohar It's a fine list of exercises but lacking in variety. If you train for hyperthrophy, having different exercises for the same muscle group is ideal

What do you think about this guy's pull up and row technique?

@jeanetteh Just another juiced influencer over complicating stuff, difference is that this one is korean.

Any tips on adding some more hypertrophy gains to Bullmastiff?

@jacob40524 Powerlifting programs hand wave back work because some compounds help with back strength, especially deadlift. Since BB programs don't focus much on DL you can do more rowing and vertical pulling. Never ran this program but a lot of people say it's really hard, I wouldn't add to...

Anyone done PPL once a week with success?

@freedominjesusname First point he pulled out of his ass. How the fuck can you make the assumption that pros have more fast twitch fibers.
