@allie_2 I can't feel full without carbs.
I don't really do deliberate muscle building exercises, but I have huge calves from running. My arms also look pretty toned from the short yoga routine I do after runs to stretch out.
@nckota123 Hard in lockdown. In normal times, it just kind of happens between walking to work, walking to shops, walking to pub/friend's house etc. It'd be difficult to come up with reasons to walk now.
@allie_2 Personally I'd find that very difficult to stick to. I feel and perform best at about 80% carb, 12% protein, 8% fat. Often it slips to about 70/15/15, but my digestive system isn't happy about so much fat.
@thetravman I can do a squat without weight but my feet are turned in opposite directions, almost parallel to the front of the mat, and spread about twice the width of my shoulders. I need to extend my arms forward for balance.
I don't do shoes in any aspect of life because none fit (forefoot...
@janmer252 I have been working in it for three years! Running is the only thing that's helped even slightly. On a good day, when I'm warmed up after a run, I can bring my knee above my toes, but no further. I didn't used to be able to get it even halfway there. It's a temporary effect though...
@roger5599 I don't have anywhere near enough ankle mobility to get to parallel without my heels lifting. I want to strengthen my glutes for running. What's a good alternative?
@rue77 I'm at around 2400-2500 and yeah it feels like I'm constantly eating. I feel better when I eat high-carb, low-fat (my digestive system does not like greasy foods) but that means eating like four or five meals a day, and planning five meals a day is a pain in the ass.
For breakfast today...
@shawn_maune If probably walk out along the road into the peak district. At least there I can pee in privacy by taking a little used path! And then walk back into town at the end of the day. I've done wandering off from home before and gotten up to marathon distance, but I'm not sure how many...
@shawn_maune I'm tempted to do a 100k barefoot steps in a day challenge. Not sure what balance of running vs walking would be easiest.
What step counter did you use? I only have my phone and all the step counter apps I've tried kept crashing and deleting my data. I can get an estimate measuring...
@acco340 I run about 45-50mpw split over 7 days, sometimes go for little strolls in the afternoon, and occasionally go for a hike at the weekend. My left knee hates strength training, cycling, and even swimming but it's completely fine with running and walking unless I'm on a really awkward...
@djokica8 I'm also 5'1. I go for about 75g protein, 35g fat, and 450g carbs. I run long distances.
How do you get your TDEE so low?
I tried eating 1300 for a while in uni. Couldn't function at all mentally and quickly ended up underweight. I didn't deliberately exercise at the time.
It is...
