    Tracking my exercises more seriously

@zerokdegree I don't think it makes a huge difference. I'm not going to fight you on it. :) You might enjoy this nuanced explanation on progressive overload: But when I think about what you're doing, say like in Week 3 you need more volume so you add a new exercise, you're going to be...

    Tracking my exercises more seriously

@zerokdegree I probably wouldn’t add exercises as a means of progression mid meso. I do sometimes decide to change movements if they’re bugging me though. I read another one of your comments that you’re aiming for 10-20 sets per week, if that’s a number of sets you’re aiming to start and end...

Question about recurring injury - sharp neck pain after a heavy set

@eastmesa10189 Training to failure is disproportionately higher fatigue with diminishing returns in per unit stimulus. Instead, why not train 2-3 reps away from failure? If you're not getting enough stimulus (as evidenced by a lack of growth or strength performance) add more sets.

Curious what people think about my training

@mommajulesberry Yes thanks for the thorough rundown. Lots of good ideas I'll steal here. Sorry for the confusion, I think I use a different tempo notation from the standard. In my mind 3-0-0 (means 3 second eccentric, no pause, concentric as fast as possible), (3-1-0) (3-sec eccentric with...

Curious what people think about my training

After writing this, I figure it's probably too long for anyone to read. But I'll see what happens. I have kind of a powerbuilder approach to training -- but I'm mostly hypertrophy oriented. I like benching and deadlifting heavy once a week though. Squatting, I could give two shits about heavy...
