    4 years of hard work

@silsophi You have body dysmorphia. If you were to quit the gym and stayed at the same weight, you would look a lot worse. I was a skinnyfat blob when I started lifting. No muscle and a belly. The average untrained man looks like shit.

    Need someone objectively eyeballing progress!

@evolutionhappens754 You only gained 6 lbs in 4 months. That's a 173 daily calorie surplus. That's a very lean bulk. So I don't think you gained much raw body fat. You might have even lost some actually because your body may have recomped some fat to muscle because your calorie surplus is below...

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@ray0174 If Revival Fitness gets a hold of this, I suspect he will make a video making fun of these movements. Personally I prefer just doing DB Lateral Raises (I like to do Machine Lateral Raises on B to mix it up), Leg Press and Lat Pulldowns. Doing Pulldowns with one-arm I can see being...

What explanation could there be for simultaneous regression/stagnation on lower rep(4-6) and progression on higher rep(7-12) ranges?

@cheapphenonline Progressing on higher rep lifts is faster than lower rep lifts. It takes less time to turn a 11RM into a 12RM than to turn a 4RM to a 5RM. This is why I don't like the 4-6 rep range. But you can utilize drop sets as a technique to get around your plateau.

Are weighted pull ups even worth it?

@vinod367 If you feel you are leaving gains on the table doing weighted pull-ups for low reps, why not take weight off your belt immediately after and dropset?

I think my nutrition is good but my body doesn't change much

@ksimmons4494 I would try eating less protein and more carbs (make sure you get 38g fibre per day. Fibre is worth half the calories of most carbs but important for your gut health). That will probably help with your GI issues. You're eating 1.66g protein/lb of bodyweight. More fats too if you're...

What explanation could there be for simultaneous regression/stagnation on lower rep(4-6) and progression on higher rep(7-12) ranges?

@spreading_the_gospel Yes programming is such an under-rated factor in bodybuilding. Whereas sleep and nutrition is often over-rated. "Oh I plateaued on Leg Press because I didn't eat enough or sleep enough. Didn't eat enough protein, didn't eat enough micros, too much processed food." "Then...

    Need someone objectively eyeballing progress!

@livingme7 Yeah personally when I looked at a shirtless unflexed relaxed pic of me last month after rolling out of bed that I took with my tripod (easier to see both my arms and body than taking mirror selfies with my phone) to monitor the progress of my bulk I thought to myself "why do I still...

I can't afford enough protein to grow muscle

@mcl123 A Planet Fitness membership would go way further for you than the grocery bill for more protein (and Planet Fitness is one of the worst gyms possible for people who actually train hard and grunt from time to time and drop the weights. Planet Fitness is the cheapest. But if you really...

What are some lifts you didn't use to rate, but have grown to love?

@thebelovedofgod I've incorporated dumbbell flys in recent weeks after having not touched them since July. And they are great for chest. Including incline dumbbell flys for upper chest. Yes its true you don't get a stretch at the top. But so what? Jeff Nippard does those fancy partials for...

What are some lifts you didn't use to rate, but have grown to love?

@mwinga I prefer these over cable crunches. At least for now while holding a dumbbell or plate is still challenging for me. I find it easier to isolate abs. I used to max out the stack on the crunch machine at the gym but my abs got sore as hell the day after doing bodyweight decline sit-ups...

Do I just accept that weight loss isn't linear before I yeet the scale out the window?

@annamarinewife You know what's the best way to reduce your appetite? Start a bulk. You will get so sick of food. I've been bulking for a year. I can't with food anymore. If I ate how I wanted, I would end up in a defacto calorie deficit. But I don't want to risk losing gains. I want to at least...

Is it dumb to offset calories the next day?

@kaylads I gained 24.8 lbs across 373 days on my first bulk. Which is +0.46 lbs/week. Which at most is a 229 daily calorie surplus. As even one pound of fat is only 3,500. And one pound of muscle takes only 2,500-2,800 surplus calories to create. Im also 167cm tall. So yeah 200 calorie surplus I...

Replacing Barbell Row with Seated Cable Row

@jayaraj I do one arm dumbbell row instead of Barbell bent over row. I think it's much better for Lats. You just need a free bench ideally to do the exercise. Or at least something to put your opposing hand if you don't have a free bench during peak hours. You dont have to choose one or the...

Is it dumb to offset calories the next day?

@awoods88 My scale weight jumped +2.9lbs after a wedding reception Saturday. And then it dropped -1.8lbs the next morning and dropped another -0.8lbs this morning. So I'm a net +0.3lbs so far after 3 days. The water weight will come off. Unless you're competing for a show, don't rush the...

People told me l’m doing junk volume. I’ve never seen such fast gains though

@faetalesprincess My theory is that once you lowered the weight and did 36 sets of biceps in a day, you are curling with lighter weights with good form and not cheating on bicep curls anymore. That's why your arms blew up. Yeah if you do enough volume with light weights, I guess you can grow...

    Thoughts on Thomas Delauer's Macro's: 225g Potein | 100g Carbs | 100g Fat @180lbs

@ablessedwoman 100g carbs = no energy to workout. Feel like shit the rest of the day if you need to be productive. I'm curious how much volume he does on a cut or whether he dials down the intensity. Considering that he's selling $2,549 life coaching, I would not be shocked that he's on gear.

Is it dumb to offset calories the next day?

@lernestof Not sure how big OP is. But I'm 167cm 64.65kg and 2100 calories is around the ballpark of what my TDEE is probably. My TDEE I think is a bit higher. Us short kings have an advantage in terms of looking big fast. But cutting is brutal. I hate medium-high intensity cardio. My cut is...

Do I just accept that weight loss isn't linear before I yeet the scale out the window?

@annamarinewife Weight loss/gain is totally not linear. I've went through this as well with my bulk. Make gradual adjustments to your calories over time. Don't expect instant results. My weight just jumped +1 lb week to week, which is a bit too high for my liking (my target is more like +0.6...

    Too Much Volume?

@4eyedfenix Are you doing full body 5-6 days a week? I noticed you have push, pull and legs all in your Monday.
