Transitioning from 6 days a weeks to 3-4

@angel_heart Yep. People need to get rid of the idea there is an ideal frequency everyone should follow. The studies are normally done on one or twice a week frequency and not all the other options. Then there’s the many problems with all these studies have which means they shouldn’t be taken...

Transitioning from 6 days a weeks to 3-4

@thebelovedofgod At no point did I mention vibe based training. I’m talking about results. I train people for a living and am advanced myself. I don’t base my opinions on vibes or what I read on Reddit! Do you have any pictures of your physique?

Transitioning from 6 days a weeks to 3-4

@thebelovedofgod In your opinion it’s good practice. Your opinion doesn’t make it a fact. Lots of people find they do better training fewer days. I progress faster training a muscle around 1.5 times a week.

Transitioning from 6 days a weeks to 3-4

@thebelovedofgod Nothing magical after hitting a muscle two days a week. PPL isn’t structured around six days a week, it’s just a split that some people do it six days a week. Lots of people do it 3-5 days a week.

Transitioning from 6 days a weeks to 3-4

@thebelovedofgod I bet most people would be better off doing it fewer than 6 days a week.

Fully Body vs P/P/L does it matter at all?

@angel_heart People seem afraid of trying something for at least 6-8 weeks. It’s not like you’ll lose your gains in that time and you’ll learn from it. I’m so glad forums weren’t as big as they are now and there was less information. I only paid attention to top coaches and other advanced...

Fully Body vs P/P/L does it matter at all?

@peterjames I’ve done P/P/L averaging 4-4.5 days a week for years. I’ve been doing 3 days a week P/P/L for for a while now as I wanted to focus a bit more on the barbell lifts at the start of the session without changing my program too much. I might add an arm day at some point. I’m happy with...

Significant muscle loss after implementing low impact cardio

@basabeo They’re widely inaccurate. Ignore those results. Eat more if you’ve lost weight. Worrying about 30 minutes walking three times a week is crazy. It’s such a minimal amount of added exercise.

Anyone done PPL once a week with success?

@evergreenhope Yep. Time, effort and consistency is what matters. These are also the things people don’t prioritise and fail to do. It’s not exciting to make these the focus. I don’t know anyone who manages to train 6 days a week consistently for many years. They all drop off when life happens.

How crucial is 8-10 hours of sleep to muscle growth? I know 5-7 hours isn't optimal, but is progress, even slow, possible on 5-7 hours of sleep?

@dawn16 He’s saying it’s amazing that you built that physique with low enough testosterone that you needed trt.

Anyone done PPL once a week with success?

@oudia I just do my own programming. It’s nothing complicated though. I tend to do less volume than a lot of people.

How crucial is 8-10 hours of sleep to muscle growth? I know 5-7 hours isn't optimal, but is progress, even slow, possible on 5-7 hours of sleep?

@mercychild 8-10 is optimal? Where did you get that idea from? I’ve never met anyone who regularly gets 9-10 hours of sleep a night unless they’re young. Of course you can gain with 5-7 hours sleep a night. Why wouldn’t you be able to? You’re overplaying the importance of sleep in building a...

Going to failure VS chasing the pump VS volume

@deejayjr Training doesn’t work like that. There isn’t hard rules like you make it seem.

Anyone done PPL once a week with success?

@oncemore I’m still doing PPL as I like the flexibility. I’m 40 and work long hours and it’s easy to fit in around my life and adjust when I need more recovery. Very few people actually manage to train six days a week for a long time, train hard and achieve what I would consider good results...

Anyone done PPL once a week with success?

@darksoul999 I’ve done it before for a decent amount of time and it worked well. I think most people would do better doing it 3 times a week instead of 6 which is common on here. Normally when I do PPL i don’t have a set amount of days I’ll train and probably averages from 4 to 4.5 sessions a week.
