    Does Height Matter?

@fireflyrainy At the start of my last bulk (july) I was around 200 lbs but that was after cycling for 3 weeks across europe followed by 2 weeks of no training - so depleted af. I started off at 4000 calories and within a month settled in to 4200. Then from august to november it slowly creeped...

    Does Height Matter?

@fireflyrainy I weigh 207 lbs atm, at probably just under 10% bf. The way I figure out my calories is just by tracking daily weight and aiming for about 0.5-1 lbs/wk weight gain and adjust calories from there

    Does Height Matter?

@gioiamit Very impressive physique! What poses do you think work best for you as a taller competitor? Also just curious, what is your wingspan?

    Does Height Matter?

@godofreason Thanks! I used to have this mentality but realized that it's only detrimental to my progress, and I was using my height as an excuse. I truly believe that I can keep making progress if I keep my training, diet, and recovery dialed in. Aiming to put on 5 kg of lean mass over the...

    Does Height Matter?

@sehnsucht9 Abs - used to not train them at all. Started doing 6-10 sets/wk of hanging leg/knee raises about 3 months ago. Erectors - deadlifts, squats, RDLs, bent-over bb rows

    Does Height Matter?

@sehnsucht9 Different heights definitely have their pros and cons. I used to play basketball where being tall is a huge advantage. But no point worrying about it since you can't change it anyway.

    First Bodybuilding Show - Recap

@breaud I'm 6'4", yeah my calorie intake is on the hogh side - dont hear too many people cutting on 3000 kcal/day. My estimated maintainance is around 3700

    Does Height Matter?

I'm currently 8 weeks out from my first competition. Yesterday I posted a check-in to r/bodybuilding and got a very mixed response: some saying I lack size, but some encouraging comments as well saying I look good for a 6'4" natty. So that got me wondering how much of a difference does height...

    First Bodybuilding Show - Recap

Apologies for the long post, but I just wanted to share with you all my journey to stepping on a bodybuilding stage for the first time. I'm 25 and I've been training for around 10 years now, but most of this time was spent messing around without any tracking or specific goals in mind. I got into...

    Cutting progress plateau

@amandal Do you track steps? If you're sure about energy intake then the only option is that energy expenditure has decreased. Or more likely just water weight. You'd pretty much have to be in a coma to be on 1500 kcal and not losing weight at 160lbs. Could be due to stress or recent changes...

    Bodybuilding Peaking Strategy

@kagenonikki Why not? Surely I would want to take advantage of the supercompensation effect of glycogen stores?

Whats your normal rep drop off between sets? Does it change for each exercise? Interested to hear if this varies for different people

@lovely_krystal86 I usually experience a bigger drop-off after the first set with smaller subsequent drop-offs. For example: 16, 13, 12, 11. I think it mostly varies between compounds and isolations, with isolationd having bigger drop-offs in reps. Because you inherently need to rest longer on...
