    @lucyt25 It'll probably make you better at pushups, which isn't a bad thing. Given you're new, I'd also make sure your pushup technique is right.

    @sofialo09 Nothing wrong with plan, looks almost exactly like mine (except my coffee is daily). I will only say that get a goal that's not based around 'loss'. Maybe sign up for a race in a few months, or begin working towards your first pullup? Weight loss and strength gain is a slippery slope...

    @heavbeautiful Martial arts term. Very common to do it for karate, kung fu, taekwondo etc.

    @soulwinner92 Agree, if heavier compound lifts are your goal, you should probably be able to hold a plank for 2 minutes...it's not a hard thing to do...I'd argue that if you're holding a GOOD plank, 2 minutes will be a struggle (max engagement of stomach, on extended arms, pelvic tilt) so a...

    @soulwinner92 Or goals. I know guys who can run a marathon in 2.27, but can't do 15 pushups.
