    “I’m going to Rx 18.3” ~ A guy who can’t do pull-ups

@shewheel It's not one or the other... it is explicitly trying to be both. There is literally no reason to even have a scaled division if this is just a ticket to the Games. It this was just a trail for Regionals, they should be explicit about that and make the workouts harder. No one who is...

    “I’m going to Rx 18.3” ~ A guy who can’t do pull-ups

@jsjonessimson Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Because DUs are just a skill you can learn without getting stronger, you might be able to figure them out before Monday. I know I figured them out for the first time after 16.2 was announced. Good luck!

    “I’m going to Rx 18.3” ~ A guy who can’t do pull-ups

@sportfishingjunkie Yep, this is what happens when both Rx and Scaled feature skill movements that are known to trip up their respective communities. Lots of Scaled people can't do pull ups and lots of Rx people can't do MUs... but there are a lot of scaled people who can handle a barbell and...

A message about scaling. I’m sharing this with my clients tomorrow, and I figured I’d post it here first

@expressforsuccess I wholeheartedly agree with your mission here. My only advice would be to choose a better example to describe your scaling. You spend a lot of words explaining why and how to scale and all you do is reduce the weights on 2 of the movements so you can maintain intensity...

    “I’m going to Rx 18.3” ~ A guy who can’t do pull-ups

@bfall It's funny how the story changes from "I do the Open to see where I stack up" to "just do the better workout, who cares about the ranking" when something like this happens. I'm not saying you personally have made both arguments, but these threads are filled with both of these sentiments...

    “I’m going to Rx 18.3” ~ A guy who can’t do pull-ups

@james_bigshort Oh for sure! If you can do a single MU, you gotta go Rx. If you didn't get enough of a workout, just do something after... but if you've got all the movements, you gotta go Rx and see what you can do.

Recommendation for a jump rope, for beginners (not a speed rope please :P)

@dawn16 Yes, check out the Rx Smart Gear website. The have a sizing guide that is helpful. I would take the time to look at where you hold the rope in a mirror to see how far you spread your hands for your body and adjust your length accordingly. It does you no good to get a rope to long or...

Recommendation for a jump rope, for beginners (not a speed rope please :P)

@colton112 I recommend Rx Smart Gear jump rope with the Buff Cable. The key is the Buff cable. You need a heavy rope to slow you down in between jumps. The biggest mistake I was making and I see countless others make is swinging the rope at the same speed throughout. It is hard to control...

My box is setting up an “800 g Challenge”. Any anecdotes about participating or info about effects?

@starrysunsets I'm not a nutritionist or dietician (so grains of salt), but the impact of this sort of diet seems to depend a lot on what you are doing currently. If you eat a healthy diet that balances macros, you may not notice much change or you might even feel like you are losing something...

Vellner does 100 Burpee Box Jump Overs in 5:37

@tp243 I feel like a burpee mile team WOD could approach doable (e.g. 4 person team with 1 working at a time to progress toward the mile... but solo? F No
