    Austin Dunham's "BodyWeight BodyBuilder 2.0" Programme Review - Big Thumbs Down

    @chrispra58 You can go pretty far without diving too far into the science of it too, and there's no doubt he's very skilled, but it's hard to give proper programs and advice to people who are looking to really get more advanced. He has a few good videos on the basics but a lot of the videos are...

    Austin Dunham's "BodyWeight BodyBuilder 2.0" Programme Review - Big Thumbs Down

    @dlr Austin Dunham seems like a great guy but he often stumbles over his words when he's trying to explain a lot of the movements in his videos. He definitely wouldn't be my first choice when looking for a program and I'm sorry to hear you lost your money.

    @taitai It's been a year and 4 months since I started calisthenics, but I started to work out in March of 2017. So the real progress is from the second photo to the third!

    @dawn16 We don't have any real calisthenics parks in the city where I live so I'm jealous of you! With a weight belt/vest and maybe a kettlebell you can do some crazy workouts that would replace the need for weight-training at a calisthenics park.

    @richard2014 That's awesome. You really grew into that "hard work" shirt! Keep up the good work!

    @toriluvsjc I usually skip in place unless I have extra space. Depending on what you're training for, they are both good!

    @toriluvsjc Either at Muay Thai or at home in my basement/backyard. You can pretty much do it anywhere with a high enough ceiling and no breakable objects beside you!

    @dawn16 I never stopped daily coreworkouts actually. Most mornings I do 2-3 quick circuits before breakfast and 4-5 evenings a week I do 30 minutes of yoga or a little more core if I'm tired and don't have as much time. Also skipping has been one of the best things for my core and it's very...

    @profureligie When I started training a few years ago I made a bad split that focused primarily on upper body and had a big emphasis on bench press. My bench improved fast but kind of plateau'd for a while when I started doing other stuff. If you want to improve your bench, the best thing that...

    @gardenangel For main lifts (bench press, overhead press, squat, deadlift) I do 5x5 with a warm-up set or two, and then for all of the rest of the accessory lifts I do 3x8 or 3x10. I've found 5x5 to be the most helpful with improving strength and 3x10 is better for volume and hypertrophy. The...

    @anthonykeithjohnsonjr Currently I'm at: Weighted Push-Ups 4x25 @ 40 lbs (weight-vest) Weighted Dips 5x5 @ 105/110/115/115/115 (belt) Weighted Pull-Ups 5x5 @ 45/55/55/55/45 (belt) For what it's worth, I've found explosives are a great way to train if you don't have weight vests/belts.

    @dawn16 Well technically the difference in aesthetic is only from the second picture to the third, so I had already put on a little mass before I started calisthenics! But thank you :)

    @sportmom I believe a year ago I was doing a myriad of different ab routines trying to mix it up daily, I was probably using an app or something at the time. Sometime last summer I switched to a new ab workout that was designed by ThenX's Chris Heria (say what you will about him, he knows how to...

    24/M/5'11" 1 Year, 4 Months Progress from Calisthenics/Gymnastics

    @saintvincent I was fortunate enough to join my local university's team for the summer since my friends are in it. My school doesn't have a gymnastics team since it's a smaller uni, so most of the year I'm going to have to practice by myself or see if I can find an open gym somewhere to...

    @button Thank you! I did a lot of progressions leading up to it, such as Tuck BL > One-Legged BL > Straddle BL > Back Lever, each for 30 seconds before moving onto the next one. For Front Lever I did the same thing, but it's a LOT harder than I expected and progress has been a bit slower but...

    24/M/5'11" 1 Year, 4 Months Progress from Calisthenics/Gymnastics

    Hi everyone! I posted a year and a bit ago on r/Fitness detailing the first year of my transformation. A few days after posting that I discovered calisthenics and body-weight exercises and it completely changed my life. I used to lift weights 5-6 days a week and also did Judo/Muay Thai at the...
