@mara6191 What do you recommend for tracking? Fitness pal? Macro Factor? RP?

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@mara6191 I’m hearing this a lot! I think this might be the way. Bite the bullet and do it until it’s intuitive

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@amn Hey, you must have a good head for program design. Couple of thoughts. 1) I find the compound lifts help with my functional and sport specific strength the most, but I think you’re right about hypertrophy. I put a power rack in my office, so big lifts are what I can do. Further, in my...

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@amn Hey thanks! Love the username! I’m gonna check out those video, but this is my bad, I should’ve said this. I don’t think I need help designing workouts. I’ve worked with several coaches on program design, regularly brainstorm with some trainer friends, and have a shelf of books on the...

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@amn Hey this was very helpful. I’ll try macro factor and there’s a lot else to consider. Our food in the house is pretty good; I eat a little too much of it. There are probably too many snacks around but my wife is triple feeding twins, and almost died 3 months ago. I’m gonna let her have all...

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@trey333 Is this the way? Better living through banning processed foods? I mean…I could see how that could work. In general I struggle with moderating Oreo intake but saying “no” is pretty effective for me. Goes against conventional wisdom tho

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@texaseyes7 Thanks, but I cheat; my town is full of comp climbers so there’s always a nine year old around to give the creaky old guy some beta

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@nothingtoknow Thanks, this is really good advice that I’m not going to take. Because we have a toddler, we don’t meal prep. Instead, we try and eat as wide and varied a diet as possible to encourage food adventurousness. But you’re right! Of fitness was my real priority this is what I would do...

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@dawn16 Not insensitive at all! I think this is key dad advice and that’s my normal routine. These kiddos have so health problems that mean our sleep is actually great considering our circumstances. I expect to start sleeping through the night in three months. Things are on the upswing

@lilyheart Totally true, now if only that were me… I do a lot of grip stuff. Some of those guys are strong af without being cut.

@johnmm33 That’s very helpful, thanks. Somehow totally forgot IRL labels were a thing

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@johnmm33 Totally makes sense. So…getting to the place where you can do it without tracking, which of those three you mentioned was best?

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

@johnmm33 How do you track? With an app? Pen and paper? In your head?

Help a busy dad stay sexy?

Hey y’all, I’m a busy dad with newborn twins (with colic and reflux) and a toddler. Pre-twins I wasn’t super strong but I was proud of it. V9 boulderer, strong 1arm pull-up, 20 1arm pushups, pistol +45 lbs., love barbels but never got serious because of constraints. 5’9”, 173 lbs, 35. Time...
