I can only think of one exercise that has entirely changed my life- the Hindu Squat

@1haroldl It's quite a movement. The coordination of arm swing, breath, and speed, take the stress off the knees that most 'vertical' squats risk. I've only done them occasionally, but I've been doing Dand every day for some time. Maybe I'll take a month or so and just pile up reps of...

@pablob Being tall and heavy will make the first one a bigger hurdle. But not that much bigger. Look at the Recommended Routine, or Convict Conditioning, or Primal Blueprint, or any of dozens of other bodyweight progressions; you'll find multiple suggested progressions for getting to your first...

Is 1 set x 80 reps bodyweight squat too much ?

@helexzy If you're familiar with the motion and aren't using bad technique, you should be able to keep up for very high reps. Some Indian wresters used to do a thousand 'bethaks' or more in a day. A big jump (like from 60 to 80) may leave you feeling a bit depleted, but just try progressing in...

Mike Mentzer's heavy duty program and callisthenics

@life4h1m The 'one set to failure' thing goes back to Arthur Jones and the early Nautilus machines. Actually well before that with some barbell folks. 'Super Slow' and 'Body by Science' are more recent versions. The idea of a 'hard set' that they require is almost impossible for most people to...
