Anyone else carry their weight really disproportionately?

@frances69 Yep. I'm 5ft 145lbs. I wear a small top and medium pants. My pants size is between 6-10. I also have lipodema so my legs are chonky.

Is 1,500 too much for me?

@beverly3 How's your sleep? Lack of quality sleep will hinder your ability to lose weight, specifically fat loss. Also are you gaining muscle? You might need to go by measurements and not by weight.

This short gal can’t seem to lose weight or inches

@made2worship I'm 5ft too. I spent almost 4 weeks (basically the entire month of March) at 160 and it was driving me crazy. Admittedly I also got my period during that time and I went to a wedding and had a couple of alcoholic drinks. Today I was 157lb. Trust the process and avoid alcohol.

Dating while being petite and overweight

@jodi1028 I honestly didn't have that much trouble dating when I was very obese and at my heaviest which was 250+lbs and I'm only 5ft. Like there was the occasional bad interaction but plenty of my skinny friends also had bad experiences and some men just are on those apps to insult women...

Those who are 5’0/5’1, what is your goal weight and what are you doing to get there?

@robertjjones I'm 31. I lost 75lbs from 2018-2020. Through just calorie counting and exercise. But then my mental health got bad during the pandemic and I no longer had access to a gym. So I gained 50lbs from 2020-2022. Beginning 2023 I decided to completely change my diet and got really into...

Those who are 5’0/5’1, what is your goal weight and what are you doing to get there?

@stephny I honestly am not sure? I've now lost 90lbs and I'm 5ft 160lb. I've completely changed my diet and lifestyle. I'm probably going to keep up the regular exercise and eating around 1600 calories a day from here on out. According to my calculations that means I'll probably stop losing...

    Struggling to get enough protein

@dann222 Agreed. The clear drinks are so much easier to drink

Calling those that have been successful!

@frukt Quitting alcohol helps so much. Not only is alcohol full of empty calories it causes some pretty heavy bloating. You probably are eating in a calorie deficit during the week and then going over your TDEE during the weekends. And so by the end ot the week you're no longer in a deficit...

    Struggling to get enough protein

@10101212 I find the clear whey protein powder way easier to drink than typical milkshake style protein powders

16 Months to get a revenge body

@elephas I only work 3 days a week. I aim for 100 squats a shift. Usually break it up into sets of 25. Been debating trying for 125. I started with just 5 reps of wall push ups for 4 sets. I'm now up to 7 reps of leaning against the sink push ups for 4 sets. I also strength train with weights...

16 Months to get a revenge body

@optimisticsoft Btw I do body weight squats and counter top push ups during my work day. Usually when I go to the bathroom. (Work has those roomy 1 single room style, not cubicle bathrooms). So do a bunch of body weight squats and then lean against the sink and do some push ups.

Can someone explain what I might be doing wrong?

@farmwife One month I was the same damn weight for literally 4 weeks. It was driving me crazy. And then one day I had the whoosh and I was 4lbs lighter. Just trust the process and give it time. Also make sure you're getting plenty of sleep.

    At home workouts

@skymarie I try to go to the gym once or twice a week to do machine work outs. But I get plenty done at home doing dance cardio and my like 4 dumbells I have at home. I had been doing 2 like 2 hour long gym sessions twice a week. I'm now doing 20-60 minute work outs every day and I feel like...

16 Months to get a revenge body

@aspatat So I'm 31, 5ft, beginning of 2023 I was 225lb. A year later I was 180lbs. I'm now 155lb. I eat around 1500 calories a day. Do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day (sometimes I break it into three 10 min chunks) and strength train at least twice a week. I started with just 20 mins of...

    Calorie deficit for 5’0?

@faithshepard You're at the height that 1200 might be doable for you. But you have to be on top of your nutrition. It can be hard to get enough protein and fiber on only 1200 calories. Depending on your exercise routine protein goals are usually around 0.8-1.2g/ kg of ideal body weight...

Calories Deficit, am I doing it right?

@bpf53 Yep definitely need to eat more protein. Eat high protein and do some strength training and you'll be able to build some muscles that will help with the skinny fat

Plateauing 8 pounds above my goal

@corgigal If you're in a plateau and its lasting (one time I thought I was for like a month but was a mix of alcohol and a super heavy period bloat) then you're not in a calorie deficit. If you're tracking food and still not seeing results, might be time for a food scale. I don't weigh out...

Calories Deficit, am I doing it right?

@bpf53 Not sure what calculator you are using. I put your stats in at lightly active and you have a TDEE of almost 1800. But if you're going to the gym every day you might be closer to 2000 for your TDEE. You need protein to grow muscles. If you are in a calorie deficit and not eating enough...

Struggling to understand the concept of “water weight” and why it shouldn’t count. Shouldn’t it?

@aftergodsheart You also gotta look at long term trends. Yes when I first wake up after I pee completely naked in my bathroom is my lowest weight. That number has been going down. If I weigh myself in the middle of the day, that number is going to be higher than my morning weight. But my...
