[Progress] Just accomplished a long-time powerlifting goal and calisthenics goal (405lb squat and Straddle FL row) @ 6'2" 205lbs

@babugeorge07 Thank you so much :). Keep grinding away and get in lots of quality volume with isometrics, rows, and pulls. You’ll get it soon :D

@silversparrow Sadly they don't, that's not a bad idea though. I've got plenty of time to figure it out, thanks for the advice :)

@doug62 So I won’t share the routine because I’m pretty loose with it, no pun intended, but also because so many people respond differently and are at different places in their training it may not be useful. I’ll share what I do for each of the main mobility elements: Middle splits (the once or...

@silversparrow Thank you!!! So I've actually started doing those cues and working on GHR so the first few points are covered. I will probably keep using the belt, I've seen studies that show the core development is equal if not better because you can actively engage against it. I also just feel...

@watergal ugh it’s the compression god again.

@dawn16 Thanks man, that really means a lot :). You got this! It will take time, you just have to stay the course. Those goals are 100% attainable. I’ve done lots of compression work in the past because I had shit flexibility when I started. Couldn’t touch my toes. Now I have full head to...

@jackanderso Yes!! My upper body has gotten so much better looking, especially since heavy weighted pull-ups and dips, and ESPECIALLY iron cross work. Thanks!

[Progress] Just accomplished a long-time powerlifting goal and calisthenics goal (405lb squat and Straddle FL row) @ 6'2" 205lbs

@cutieonesie As for tips I’d give because of being bigger, not many. For bodyweight movements you need to often make your own mini-progressions to bridge the gap smaller people wouldn’t have to make (before str fl I had to do 1 leg full tuck front lever and 1 leg adv tuck front lever). Apart...

@godswill414 Working on that handstand form. My wrist extensor tendinitis was a road block. Working on shoulder flexion. Working on the deadlift too. I think I've figured it out, deadlifting tomorrow. I actually did some OHP today with my body mostly hollow. Another work in progress. I...

@zfatu This video will explain better than me: Basically: it is to get the posterior chain flexibility to touch your head to your toe.

[Progress] Just accomplished a long-time powerlifting goal and calisthenics goal (405lb squat and Straddle FL row) @ 6'2" 205lbs

@sjam So usually I do a bit of flexibility work, light stretching into ranges I’m confident with every workout day (between 4 and 5 days a week). Then I’ll usually do a heavy session using contract relax followed by long passive holds twice a week. Currently I’m doing head to toe everyday. So...

[Progress] Just accomplished a long-time powerlifting goal and calisthenics goal (405lb squat and Straddle FL row) @ 6'2" 205lbs

@green520 So it is more of an intermediate split, exactly. I usually do two days on, one off, two on, weekend off. For me it goes, light straight arm day, heavy bent arm, rest, heavy straight arm, light bent arm and it has worked great. As a beginner you should definitely follow a full body...

[Progress] Just accomplished a long-time powerlifting goal and calisthenics goal (405lb squat and Straddle FL row) @ 6'2" 205lbs

@green520 Bent arm and straight arm. Bent arm is for Push-ups, dips, rows, chins, HSPU, etc. Straight arm is for levers, planche, cross, press handstand, and the straight arm dynamic variations (FL Pulls for example) of them :).

@theundecided Both of those were literally maximum effort. And the second one... I thought during it "have I been really grinding this long?" It was about 16 bloody seconds. I'm amazed I didn't pass out. Don't worry man, OHP is gonna keep hopping on the tracks and make this train come to a...

@fromgenesistorevelation Thanks Antranik :D. Methodical progression has worked for 4 years, I'm surely not stopping now. And YES!!! It's such a refresher from 3 days a week full-body! I get to workout and have fun 4 days a week and I get to practice all the variations that I've wanted to because...
