Sunday Show Off - The thread where every thing you share is considered badass!

@groo101 After losing five pounds to a hair cut in mid-December, I'm finally back up to 135lb. Also hit one handed chin-ups (with other hand holding forearm), after I got bicep tendonitis. Also, got back full ROM for my left arm, after it got messed up due to the tendonitis.

What kind of protein do you take?

@raitmet Any whey isolate. Isopure is pretty good. Hint if you don’t want you poop your pants I also suggest not taking cheap whey.

Body Before and After 2 years of working out without proper knowledge

@sydneyelise I don't see any stuff you mentioned to do different for beginners? You just wrote that you didn't know much about it. That's all.

I’m so tired of hearing “it’s not like they’re going to the games...”

@devonian Haha. I agree in principal, but honestly- if adults are lying and not being honest about reps and rounds, their issues go beyond the scope of your duty as a crossfit coach. Your time is better spent with those who want to get better.

Please don’t kip in your handstand push ups

@mobileleprechaun Of course 15x250 is more intense, because the time is fixed. When the time is not fixed, like doing strict or hspus, the kipping will increase your power output. Intensity is work/time. Same work in less time=more power output, so more intensity. Try again.

Has anyone had a silly “lightbulb” moment while exercising?

@1blssddaddy1984 Not just tall, but specifically long femurs in relation to your torso. I'm 5'3 but my femurs are super long for my height. I deadlift with my feet maybe 4" apart, pretty narrow!

How do I run in zone 2?

@rbrbrb2 I'm going to agree with the run/walk combo to lower your heart rate. However, I'm just going to also throw out there what made my running better. Lose the watch. Just go and have fun. If it's an easy run keep an easy pace. If it's a fast run, run fast. I think we place way too much...

2020 CrossFit Games Finals Event 7: Snatch Speed Triple

@trar I think 190 would have been a bit more appropriate for the capacity of the top females. But that’s just my opinion. Maybe I’m wrong.

Body Before and After 2 years of working out without proper knowledge

@medic75 I did. I still don't know what YOU mean. Because he had the wrong exercises in his workout? Because he didn't raise his calorie intake month for month and didn't eat at least 0.8g Protein per LBS?

Please don’t kip in your handstand push ups

@mobileleprechaun “Something slow can be intense as well” 🤦🏻‍♂️ You clearly don’t know what the definition of intensity is...

@jellybug78 Is there a resource that describes and illustrates each of the exercises mentioned?

    Why couldn’t I do a single pull-up?

@pablob It doesn't matter why. If you want to be able to do pull-ups now, start with bar hangs going into negatives. Do 4-5 sets of 3-5 spaced throughout the day. I would recommend 2 days on/1 day off. As.you can do more, do more. You should be able to be doing a pull-up around the 4-6 week...

How much do you pay for your CrossFit gym?

@spiritchill $170 every 4 weeks in NC (no open gym). First box I’ve been to but other boxes in the area charge $150 a month (open gym hours and one is 24/7 access).

Is 2-3 minutes between sets too long? I keep getting rude looks from guys at the gym..

@1stbrownhorse As far as I know that depends on whether you're working to gain strength or to reach hypertrophy, hypertrophy works with shorter rest times.
