Therapist wants me to accept myself at a bigger size

@jc4me I’m already doing all the above. Yep I agree my therapist is amazing- thank you! I’ve already accepted myself, I eat a lot of food, lots of nutrients but now I need to lose weight. Even just 20 lbs will help me to feel better.

Therapist wants me to accept myself at a bigger size

@charliechristians Thank you! I’m already quite muscular and I weight 195 lbs at 5’ 4”. I have reversed dieted sort of and I’m already at 2600-2800 calories a day. I’ve been eating well and exercising too. It’s great that you managed to reverse diet too because it’s honestly amazing! In terms...

I’m so burned out of calorie counting. Has anyone had success with taking a break?

@slant I don’t diligently count calories anymore. Sometimes I do but sometimes I just eyeball and guesstimate stuff. My justification for that was that we never TRULY know how many calories are in the foods we eat. Even MyFitnessPal entries are based on estimates and not 100% accurate. Don’t let...

@kanelee5 Lol what? I’ve been this weight for TWO years and I’m the one that wants change. She said that I shouldn’t change. I’m done with you. You need to stop trolling my post and don’t tell me what I can and cannot say on the internet.

Therapist wants me to accept myself at a bigger size

@enoughhomeless This is exactly me!! Some people are fine physically and mentally carrying extra weight but we are not like that. Ughhh it’s so hard for people to understand us. My body aches and I find exercise like Pilates harder to do because it’s similar to calisthenics and you use your own...

Therapist wants me to accept myself at a bigger size

@antoniassi That’s okay but don’t tell me that I shouldn’t lose weight just because I’m not morbidity obese. I think there’s this sentiment where you should only want to lose weight if you’re really really really overweight otherwise don’t bother. That’s the way she said it to me. She said...

Therapist wants me to accept myself at a bigger size

@kanelee5 Okay but if she thinks I’m not overweight enough to lose weight then that’s a problem. She said she thought I was a size 20 the way that I was talking about weight loss.

Therapist wants me to accept myself at a bigger size

@eheart77 Thank you! I just wanted to clarify that she said I don’t need to lose weight just accept yourself as you are. I’ve been this size for two years and I need to lose weight so telling me that wasn’t very helpful.
