    @meritfromgrace NOPE I mean squat shoes with a heel. Adidas, Tyr, Rogue, etc. You can google Olympic lifting shoes, just make sure the heel is raised. Flat won't help you squat with your long legs (but is good for deadlifts and general lifting).

    @faithfulsteward7 i have long femurs, squat shoes made all the difference. i backed off in weight to rebuild my way back up and my squats went from parallel at best to ATG.

    @jay1969 working out and being motivated to do so is very valuable to me. so i pay for a membership through my health insurance that allows me to use several gyms around town. some are better than others, but it means i'm always near enough to a gym. i also have realized that if i had a home gym...

    @johnnyleon why don't you move to Meg's Stronger by the Day? You can choose how many days you want to do. i started it in november after coming back from having my baby and am really enjoying it. i will say though...you aren't interested in GZCLP and i will always passionately advocate for it...

    @wedemars once you start lifting you can look different at a weight than you did prior to heavy lifting, if that makes sense. i find people are often rather surprised when i tell them how much i weigh, and i attribute that to higher muscle mass.     @kingshellie sleep in your gym clothes or have them right next to you. get as much sleep as possible. have everything for school ready and packed to go so you can sleep as late as possible. most importantly- preworkout.
