Just watched a large man’s “what I eat in a day” IG real and once again mad at how little we can eat

@shieldofangels In general… if you want to eat more, move more, lift heavier, and build more muscle. That’s all there is to it. I don’t usually like to oversimplify things like this but… at 5’2” my maintenance is almost 1000 more than my BMR. It’s 200 more than most calculators will even tell...

What’s your ‘genius’ high protein snack/meal?

@sharonarrives It might depend on the brand! I use Aldi protein powder which is super fine. I also don’t always use a whole scoop, and I use the tubs of yogurt not just a little cup, so it mixes in a bigger bowl!

What’s your ‘genius’ high protein snack/meal?

@1daughter1 The Protein Chef has a recipe that’s basically peanut butter, protein powder, a tiny bit of yogurt, and some honey with chocolate chips. Perfect consistency. It’s a bit higher in calories and fat because of the peanut butter but you could always mess with the proportions or use PB2!

What’s your ‘genius’ high protein snack/meal?

@nilsa Protein powder mixed with Greek yogurt. Seems real obvious once you’ve done it. It’s like a high protein chocolate mousse.

When I exercise, I don’t lose weight. But when I stop exercising and just eat less, I lose weight

@georgehay Because of genetics. That’s literally it. It’s a combination of body fat percentage, where you carry your weight, and the location of your organs and condition of muscles. Sure exercise and diet can help but, it’s not a guarantee. Same reason some women can carry a child without...

When I exercise, I don’t lose weight. But when I stop exercising and just eat less, I lose weight

@woollybear A pound of fat is 3500 calories. It’s pretty hard to lose a pound of fat in a week—you’d need to be in a strict 500 cal/day deficit. That goes the other way too—you’d need to eat 500 cals a day over maintenance every day for a week to gain a whole pound of fat and it’s very, very...

    I hate working out

@sriram Stop the comparison game, to others and to other versions of yourself. That’s easier said than done, I know. A daily affirmation of what you love about your body and something good you did for it, will help, if therapy isn’t an option for you. Besides that, just find what you love. I...

Apartment friendly works outs? E.g like Chloe Ting but less jumping..

@ptom Sidney Cummings! Some of her stuff is jump-y but she always does a low impact modifier. She also has entire playlists for different scenarios and workout types so, she may very well have an “apartment friendly” playlist! I would not be surprised.
