Opinion/insights on Old USSR Bodybuilding Training Plan

@nathanstrong I think it’s a lot of workouts for one session. If you’ve got the time to spare, a plan that accommodates more than three days a week and a little less time in the gym each day can work better for many people. Will I deny that this would work? No. Would your joints be happy in this...

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@unbridledwild Yeah I’m inclined to agree but I think may be a bit more cynical about it. I agreed with a lot of what you said in my reply to /@nguyenviet92. And yeah eccentrics have been tearing my chest and biceps apart I love them now

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@nguyenviet92 You’re right. And that’s why I maybe don’t fault them too much. It’s what they make a living off of, so I just take a lot of what they say with a grain of salt and then occasionally there will be some new science based thing I’m interested in. It’s why I like to window shop a bit...

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@laura02375 Science based lifting tubers often have a backlog of great content and a need to keep fucking talking. I get that the job entails that but at a certain point you don’t need to keep making weekly content. Let new research dictate what gets posted rather than what drives clicks

    Forearm Training

@joywager I was in an almost opposite boat, largely hampered by being a former fat guy so my calves were relatively big for a beginner, before I really needed to do work specific to them. But forearm size was hard to see until I really successfully started to cut. And I mostly mean they both...

    Forearm Training

@bastionhd Forearms usually recuperate very fast for me, similar to calves. I’d say do it as you planned, and accommodate if you end up too sore. It may take a bit of adapting but before long you’ll be able to use them pretty much any workout day so long as it’s not directly before heavy pulls...

Protein/meal spacing frequency on a deficit

@lostfornow It should be fine. You meet your macro and calorie goals, and it seems to feel better for you eating that way. Some people go for OMAD, on a harder cut I find eating only twice a day works best for me. It’s about finding what fits your goals, schedule, hunger levels etc.

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@ray0174 That sort of training is strictly for the home gym, I keep it between me and my rubber floor if ya know what I mean

    Jeff Nippard’s New Exercises

@ray0174 I’m sure they all work just fine. Too complicated to necessitate themselves though. I can hit all these muscles with more established workouts and without crawling around on the floor of my gym

What's your daily schedule look like?

@ready2change After work showers? Dope. After workout showers? Better. After work and workout showers? Heavenly.

    Cutting progress plateau

@amandal Good luck dude, but just be patient and you’ll get there. Are you trying to get lean for a stage? If not then the time crunch is non existent. Your body is a complex series of mechanisms that doesn’t operate on a “pound per week lost just because we have less calories” in the short...

    Cutting progress plateau

@amandal Your maintenance may not be what you thought it was. If your energy levels are still there, then it’s time to increase the deficit either through less food or more cardio. It’s just a matter of calories unless you’ve got some hormonal issues (which is unlikely as you’d have many other...

If you had to pick ONE cable chest fly variation below, which would you pick and why?

@steve126 Chest can be so finicky I think. Obviously just feeling sore isn’t a great indicator but you gotta find what you think burns the best and whatever you can get a really good squeeze on your pecs out of. Some people respond better to different exercises, and the best exercise is one...

What is your favourite meal during a weight loss phase?

@namibia I make sweet potato tortillas, freeze them, and reheat with a few things over the week. Roughly 1 part boiled sweet potato to 3/4 part brown rice flour or more to make a tacky dough. Then I make crunchy chickpeas with garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and black pepper. Then I...
