My name is Brandon Wynn, Captain of the US Mens Gymnastics Senior National Team, AMA!

@snowy123 Have you ever had issues with elbow tendinitis? I do (from baseball, not gymnastics), and was wondering if you had any tips for it. I'm done with baseball now and am focusing on weight training and body weight training and want to make sure my joints (especially my elbows) are...

A Year of Calisthenics and Powerlifting Progress (6'2", 200lbs, 19y/o - 3 years lifting, 1.5 specifically BWF Focused)

@kaylee994 So DUP is basically just a light medium heavy schedule. I focus on horizontal pushing and pulling and vertical pushing and pulling and pick a light, medium, and heavy progression for each plane of movement. Then I try and progress each day on its own. I try to make the progressions...

@edwardcruri So I'd highly recommend reading Overcoming Gravity (/r/overcominggravity the book is linked on there, get the 2nd edition it's incredibly worth it. I used the code GIFTBOOK (I think) on amazon and it saved $5), that's what I recommend to anyone who's curious about the programming...

@mshade Thanks man that means a lot :). I would highly recommend it, it teaches you a new level of control over your body. And it's winter break, a time for family, relaxing, redditing, and getting strong as hell :P (also food).

@kaylee994 A combination of tall, heavy, and high activity level. I workout about 15 hours a week and have a lot of muscle that burns a lot of calories. My metabolism may be slightly faster, but it's mostly size and activity level.

@katchan Thank you so very much!!! So the first part of the year was bulking at 4000cals a day, then a short 1 month cut during July 3400 cal to trim some fat, then I went up to 4500 a day from August-November. Cut at 3500 recently now maintaining at 4000. I try and get a decent amount of...

@jaxter Thanks man!! I appreciate it. I started with just bodybuilding, slowly focused more on strength (first BW thing I did was weighted pull-ups), and after about a year and a half of weight training I had a solid strength base and started to focus on BW strength and flexibility. With BW I...

@childofthelord I'm really not a "complete" athlete entirely :P. I used to do long distance running a lot but dropped it because it interfered with my lower body recovery. Wanna re-implement it. And I'm going to. I'd like to add 25 minutes of light cardio a couple of days a week. For recovery...

HEY, EVERYONE! November is here and it's PULL-UPS MOTIVATIONAL MONTH! Join us today!

@rdmarita 4 years training. Got up to +160lbs at 205lbs bodyweight or so. Probably now around +145 max if I had to guess. Focusing more on my front lever and iron cross work but still supplementing vertical pulling. Hit 3x8 with 50lbs easily recently pronated even though I always trained...

@childofthelord Thanks man :D. Means a lot to hear that.. really does. Keep up the awesome work. If you can't do powerlifting just progress your pistols and GHR and do powerlifting when you get the chance, you'll start stronger than most. Does your uni not have a gym? I'm very fortunate mine...

@ausadhi I use 5/3/1 for lower. I do squat and dead days. On squat day I do a hamstring accessory (GHR progression 3x5-8). On dead day I do a quad accessory (pause high bar or front squats 3x5-8). Then flexibility after with contract relax.

@2consider So recently my training has mostly been spotted crosses on a pair of very long and very unstable cable rings, I haven’t done a fresh test in a long time but I have gotten much stronger. I may test this Thursday. I’ve watched that video so many times hahaha. And when he got it he was...
