I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@lichti I think unless you got one specifically designed to be silent it would be a little disruptive. In a cubicle space I also would not go any faster than like 1.8mph, to avoid getting sweaty/making noise/etc.

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@miko I never tracked before so I'm trying to get as close to 100g as I can. I'm a vegetarian so most of my protein comes from tofu/beans/legumes, eggs, dairy (cottage cheese & protein yogurt), and things like lentil + rice pasta, keto tortillas, protein bars and shakes. And ikr my cute...

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@regent UREVO 2 in 1 walking treadmill from Amazon! It's currently on sale but I said above that the only caveat is if your floors are uneven the tread has a tendency to slip to either side. Proceed with caution haha. It's still usable just a pain.

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@marvilcott Thank you!! So I mentioned in another comment that my floors are uneven, and because of that I needed to wedge cardboard under my pad. (Actually like hard compressed cardboard). That made it more even but also gave it a teeeeny tiny incline lol. I think that helps my knees! As for...

@peterwilliams I just had to google cross trainers and that looks so cool! I agree, finding movement you enjoy everyday has such a positive impact!

    I don’t know wtf I’m doing

@joyfullyobey Anybody would feel starving on dry cereal and veggies + hummus -- it's not just you! Your body needs more protein and a balance of carbs and fiber. I never understood how to feel full on a deficit until I downloaded the free version of Cronometer, or even just looking at macro...

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@geranium I did track except for eating out, where I just tried to portion control and didn't eat til I was stuffed. I aimed for around 1400-1500 calories a day and only went over that a few times by about 100 cals or less! I am using a food scale and Cronometer but not sacrificing things like...

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@anne56 Not really! My apartment is old so not very energy efficient anyway but the brand of walking pad I have claims to be efficient. I imagine it would be comparable to running a space heater or other medium sized appliance for 3 hrs a day!

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@kateee71 Thank you so much! And honestly the walking helps me stay engaged with the long mandatory teams calls I have everyday. If I wasn't walking I would be sooo distracted. When I am not on calls, I am either working (writing/editing), scrolling TikTok, or reading on my kindle!

@eli88 that's amazing, congrats! and 'addicted' is a good way to describe it, haha. It's easy to get hooked on walking!

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@bryanclendenning yay walking pad buddies! How do you track your step count? I have an Apple Watch that needs charging but my arms don't swing the whole time I walk so I didn't think it would track. Do you put a tracker on your ankle, or estimate steps?

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@huskysizeguy99 of course! It is on sale on Amazon right now. If you have level hardwood or tile floors, you should honestly be fine judging by other peoples' reviews. My home office is uneven carpeting, so take what I said with a grain of salt or two haha

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

@huskysizeguy99 I am currently using the UREVO 2 in 1 Under desk treadmill from Amazon but kind of don't recommend it? lol. I chose it because it seemed to have good reviews for the price, it goes up to the speed I needed without needing the bar raised, and people said it was quiet. My issues...

I walked 154 miles on my walking pad in February! Here's what happened:

I lost about 4-5lbs from the last week of January to now. (The range is due to some hormonal water retention.) From 136-132/131! I notice my clothes fitting much better, especially the waist and thighs of jeans/pants and bras. Goodbye, boobs! My stamina has increased! Back in December I was...

    Advice as a 24 y/o lifelong dieter

@falconeye Hi! I understand the frustration of having a complicated history with food & your body image, wanting to make positive changes, but feeling stuck or anxious about triggering bad behaviors and mindset. I've got a similar history, and my wedding in the fall. It's been a few months on...
