Reps dropped first time using Versa Gripps?

@itrm Yeah, just barbell RDLs. It’s not a perfect science because I increased my barbell row weight from last week so of course I got less reps in those sets, but the RDLs stayed the same weight, but maybe 2/3 of the reps.

Reps dropped first time using Versa Gripps?

@dreuter032003 Could be very true. I also wore gloves with the straps around the wrist, whereas the Versas go right on my wrist, bare-handed, and that could change a bit as well.

Reps dropped first time using Versa Gripps?

Last week I felt one of my straps start to give way. Before it could rip on my during a lift I ordered a pair of Versa Gripps Pro after seeing Dr. Mike shill them, seeing Sean N comment on how great they are, and even Will Tennyson using them without even mentioning them (which I take it to mean...

Should I eat 60g of protein or 259g?

@inthestorm Not per kg, per lb. OP should have a minimum of 148g daily to a maximum of 222g. Ideally they’ll have 1g per lb to keep things simple and have enough to build muscle which would put them at 185g protein daily.

37 y/o - protein supplements to help with gain

@miriamf Seeing lots of comments about getting protein from “real” food. While a varied source of protein IS important, whey, casein, egg protein, pea protein, etc., basically any protein found in a supplement is REAL food. It isn’t some fake thing created in a lab and can be very helpful and...

Should I eat 60g of protein or 259g?

@jamesalbright Nippard is great. Since OP is using imperial measurements, the easiest calculation is 1g per lb of body weight. The ideal range is .8g-1.2g, so most fitness experts lean right into the middle with 1g per lb. After that, for building muscle you’re better off scientifically...

Drawing up a 3 day full body routine for myself, would appreciate suggestions

@godisworking101 Yeah, this is a lot, man. You’re in junk volume territory. If you can go three hours per session I can’t believe that you’re pushing yourself as hard as you could be and could just be sabotaging your potential pains. I would recommend checking out Stronger By Science and picking...

What Metrics Do You Care About and Why?

@namaoza I agree. “Just find something you enjoy doing and move” is what usually tell people who ask about my routine. Of course followed up by telling them to get plenty of protein haha. I don’t even have the most impressive physique or anything, but I was probably around 24-25% BF back in Dec...

What Metrics Do You Care About and Why?

@namaoza Happy to share. A lot of folks are way more extreme on here than I am, and possibly have more time than I do, but I do what I can with what I have. It’s sometimes hard to separate myself from folks who have been training for a lot longer than myself, don’t have kids, have kids who are...

What Metrics Do You Care About and Why?

@namaoza My personal goals revolve around building muscle through weight training, staying in a healthy BF range whether cutting or bulking (currently on a cut of sorts, just hit 15% at 182-4ish lbs), and keeping a healthier lifestyle when it comes to food and drinks. At 41 I have a 5 year old...
