    @ibiggy This! An aerobic base is built like a pyramid - lots of lower-heart-rate or easy miles is the foundation for gains in any sort of aerobic fitness. It sounds like OP is trying to do lots of stuff at the top end of the pyramid, without also spending time building the base.

    @cblack34 I have a few pairs with pockets (Speed Up, fast and free, on repeat which I can’t find online right now) and I don’t find that they slide down. I use them mainly for outdoor runs. My speed ups are a size too big and it’s only because of that that I ever have problems with them sliding...

    @michealjordan Or joining a rowing team!! Most cities have clubs with adult learn-to-row classes (I’ve coached before) and they can be a great way to learn a new low-impact but strenuous sport and find a new community!

    @keepitsimple144 First, I’m so sorry for your loss. That’s a beautiful way to honor him. Second, (looking at edit) - you’re not being unrealistic! You have way more than 10 weeks and if you would like to follow the plan but cut the shortest run out & repeat some weeks as needed to stretch it...
