6 years on on and off ... it s*cks ... App for workout ?

@cruzhjo69 I love the peloton app to death. They have body weight classes of varying lengths as well as core classes (most are body weight), yoga, running, and HIIT cardio. It has also made my motivation irrelevant because I know I’m just going to get on the app every day and do a few classes.

What percent of your income goes towards fitness?

@decanus Same. I use the gym in my building and the peloton app which is $24 a month now, it was $13 until recently. I need to buy new sports bras now I’m breastfeeding and my boobs got too big 😢

    Transformation after 30

@eternum I’m having my family on the latter half of my 30s and I just think of my time as more valuable now. I don’t want to fuck around as much I want to be efficient.

Why am I so bad at running, but do well in other cardio related activities?

@kmar123 I love running and every time I take an extended break it takes a long while to get back. Even as a seasoned multi-marathon runner it takes… 8-12 runs until I feel like I’m enjoying it a bit again. Have good shoes. Start really really slow. Do not go above a slow jog. Go for a length of...

Do any of you just NOT have defined goals?

@mayne70 My goal is to live a long, healthy life with as much mobility and strength as possible. I run, lift, do yoga, and walk a lot. I am healthy and strong. I don’t have goals because I’m internally motivated and don’t need them. I have done marathons before and don’t mind having a temporary...

What can I do when I’m young to keep healthy when I’m older?

@pallas Also - when you end up in the hospital for something (almost inevitable as you age) get up and moving as much and as soon as possible. Post op day zero, get out of bed. They are now even walking intubated patients! Moving your body every day is the key to health. Also - no/low alcohol...

How do you pump yourself up to go hard?

@teaandcrumpets I use peloton strength classes and I always go heavier because the coaches program classes really carefully and give good form cues and encouragement. I try doing things by myself and I get bored or don’t push through!

Workout Equipment You Love vs. Never Use

@lapinot I use my adjustable dumbells several times a week BUT the only kind I could buy in the pandemic are ones where you put on weight plates then screw the end piece. It takes a minute or two to change the weight. I got a second pair of handles so now I just have one lighter set and one...
