    @mippop OP exercised so much she literally couldn't walk. Lab tests weren't necessary to realize that was pretty unwise... So there's no reason to expect the same results when training at normal levels of intensity.

    @velocityth I'm sure they helped you, I pretty sure they work at making your back stronger and your hamstrings more flexible. What I'm wondering is whether there are other exercises that could achieve the same things without exposing the same risks. Maybe stiff-legged deadlifts or good mornings...

    @philip1979 Serious question: are Jefferson curls really necessary? They are pretty risky and my impression is that most athletes have excelled without having to do them. So, is there a good reason to do them in the first place?
