Double press (or single too for that matter), and the 'J shape'

@bereket Thank you, than makes complete sense. I watched the movement of my arms and the KB's during this mornings workout in the mirror and could see exactly what you mean.

Finding double 20kg front squats difficult

@marktwaine26 Thanks for the tip. I think too that the fact that I’m 6’6 and have a long torso is making the mechanics of squatting more challenging for me….

Double press (or single too for that matter), and the 'J shape'

Mark Wildman and Dan John talk about the J shape that the KB's travel as they are pressed overhead from the rack position. Am I understanding this right: the KB's travel out slightly wider during the first part of the press? Is there a good video online that breaks this further?

    zone 2 & zone 5 training with KB's (instead of a bike!)

Over the past four weeks, I've committed to a rigorous kettlebell training regimen, expanding my collection to include pairs for double workouts. My focus has been on programs designed by Dan John and Geoff Neupert. During this period, my BikeErg, initially intended for Zone 2 training three or...

Finding double 20kg front squats difficult

I strength trained 1x per week and 7x per week for 5 months each

@iferexo Thanks for your thoughts. I walk a lot everyday anyway and I like the idea of skill work on 'off' days, but i usually end up doing kettlebell EMOM's or something to smash up my HR and get some conditioning in, which in turn will morph into a warm up for further exercises..... I know...

Finding double 20kg front squats difficult

@hkkyd I find it most difficult keeping the KB's in place when in the eccentric phase.

I strength trained 1x per week and 7x per week for 5 months each

@iferexo Fascinating. I was initially attracted to the 7x workout style (low daily volume but high frequency over a week), but realised very quickly that I would more often than not do too much work each day. It is a double edged sword for me: I love to workout and so *need* to do something...

Finding double 20kg front squats difficult

I have a single 16, and two 20kg’s. I’ve been easing back into training after an illness and up until now have been using a single 16 or a single 20 for the armor building complex. I feel well enough to move up to doubles now and have no issue cleaning or pressing 2 20s but my front squat sucks...
