Things I Know Now After Doing the Recommended Routine for 1 Year That I Wish I Knew From the Beginning

@sydneyelise Thanks. I usually do my levers coming off of a muscle up as part of my warming up routine. So my hands are just already pronated from that. Next time I try levers I'll try it supinated if I remember. Do you do front levers supinated as well?

I achieved the pistol squat on my left leg after 0.5 years of training!

@frogs_are_neat I think you should be capable of both. I am, but I think pistols are somewhat of a novelty when building muscle is a primary goal. I kinda forget that people have different goals than me though so that's my bad. They are fun to do.

@jamesjcyn So pistol squats are cool and all, but if you're at a gym and using weights anyways why not just do heavy front or back squats with a barbell?

Things I Know Now After Doing the Recommended Routine for 1 Year That I Wish I Knew From the Beginning

@divi98520 What specific move will it transfer into better? I'm not sure if I want to do that type of grip on a lever unless it carries into something I'm interested in. I can't do any levers right now anyways cause I have an elbow injury.

@sydneyelise I've always done black levers with a pronated grip. What's wrong with that?

Things I Know Now After Doing the Recommended Routine for 1 Year That I Wish I Knew From the Beginning

@rmartin I got past 10-12 by doing weighted pullups, and one arm progressions. Then I got back under 10 by falling on my elbow and hurting myself.

@testament7 Then take that into account and maybe don't lock out. If you're not competing then competition standards aren't important.
