    @groo101 You might have a point there. I'm still very reluctant to eat more because of lingering paranoia building up the fat again - but if I focus on lean protein for my surplus this should not be an issue right?

    @silas1325 Thanks for that, I guess two months isn't a long time but I somehow expected a more obvious difference. Looking at the wall tile size, the "after" pic is scaled slighlty larger so the larger size could be an optical illusion of sorts. Edit: resized image for correct scale.

    @logicalwomen Just looking at the photos I would agree with you. For the sake of clarity, left to right is 2 months ago to present. Not an extremely strict diet but I'm eating an average of about 2750 calories per day, mostly chicken/pork, rice, salad (usually vinegar based coleslaw)...

    @mckenzeej Thanks :) I exercise every day, alternating between the following minimum (this is what I do currently, I started at much lower sets/reps): Day 1: 5 sets x 50 reps sit-ups 5 sets x 100 reps bicycle crunches Day 2: 5 sets x 30 reps push-ups 8 sets x 10 reps inverted rows

    @apologetics146 Thanks! It should be pointed out that for the first few months I also dropped to a 500-1000 calorie deficit and I am also cycling a minimum of 25 miles per week. I'm keen to develop my chest/abs/arms further though, I'm wondering if bodyweight alone will suffice or if I should...

    @davecb Chest progress after 5 months of doing extremely basic bodyweight exercises. Photos are one month apart. Day 1: Push-ups and vertical rows Day 2: Sit-ups and bicycle crunches I guess I need to add a bit more variety to my routine, but this seems to be working for now.
