    No gains after months?

@opticalearth Cool, thanks! This might help me prevent injuries as well, as kendo is harsh on the achilles and tight calves do not help.

    No gains after months?

@opticalearth Thank you, I'm going to try this out for the main joints. I might go for a foam roller as well (I have a ball at home that I mostly use for lats and calves).

    No gains after months?

@opticalearth My upper back (I think it's that) tilts forward when I'm in bottom position. That's why I missed that 55kg lift, and I realized I did that a couple of times while doing squat cleans yesterday morning. The clean is fine and then in the moment I'm at the bottom of the squat I tilt...

    No gains after months?

@paulotarsus Thank you for all the information and the link! Some of the coaches at the gym (the cross-training classes I go to) are oly lifters so I might be able to get a personalized program.

    No gains after months?

@coup I'm due for another tobec test, but I don't think I'm trading fat for lean mass at this stage. I think I've plateau'd and I need something different to get the engine going. I'll try and eat more on lift days, I already try and have meals that are richer in protein oncross-training days...

    No gains after months?

@coup I've been fairly stable in my weight for the past few months, so I don't think so.

    No gains after months?

@manoffiji Thank you! I might have to cut down on cross-training for a bit while I recover from eye surgery, I could use that time to focus on strength training.

    No gains after months?

@gorickeo You're right. I'll talk to my coach and see if there's a way for me to train strength without completely foregoing endurance training (I've always been so incredibly bad at anything cardio that I would hate to lose what little progress I've made).

    No gains after months?

Hi everyone. I'm 33 and in addition to practicing kendo, I've also been going to a gym for the past few years. I got into cross-training last year and I've been training twice a week. Today's menu was back squat PR. I failed a 55kg rep because my shoulders tipped forward at the bottom of the...

M/34/5’7” Would joining CrossFit be too intense for someone who’s obese?

@christy01 I recommend checking out the box and talking to the coach/coaches to get a feel of their style of coaching. Also, looking at the people in the classes might give you an idea of what to expect. You should be able to scale everything to your level: you can do step ups on a small step...

    The science behind the warmup

@littlepikachu I've noticed the same thing. I'm following a home training program a coach at my gym made for me and with shorter warm-ups / warm-ups that don't target muscles I need later, I notice that the same exercise gets easier as I go through sets (and then get harder again as I get...
