@riverrose At what point did you add free weights to your routine?

@this_dot If I eat before exercise, I'll get some kind of abdominal pain unless what I'm doing is really light. I simply can't train the same way and at the same intensity when I've just eatien.

@dawn16 It makes those gains possible. Pretty much everyone who does bodyweight training but has impressive gains also has some free weights in their routine.

@witbos They aren't at all. They fold up very compact. Some of the newer ones are bigger, but the cheapest ones are very compact.

@spiritledson Yeah, I'd probably be a bit more annoyed if I had to walk the whole thing to get everything I wanted instead of biking. But having them in a small place that otherwise just wouldn't have them is worth it.

@riverrose It is real, it's just there's not a gene that makes you an ectomorph, endomorph or mesomorph, so you'll end up with people who fall in between.

@kaylen500 The main reason for a pull up bar is so that you can do pulling motions. So just get something else that lets you pull. You can get a used Total Gym for 15-30 bucks, and that will let you do pulling (and pushing), to complement what you're doing with calisthenics.
