Early morning gym goers, with family, how do you balance going to bed early with time for your partner?

@dougnarg Your problem is fairly easy: Have sex at 9. At 930-10pm you go to sleep, he stays up and watches tv (but he'll probably just fall asleep, too).

Those with big, noticeable traps, how’d you get there?

@shawna27 EDIT: LoL, misread the title as lats... 5 sets 3-5 reps seated* military press with progressive overload (increase weight as soon as you can do 5-6 reps on first set), 3 sets arnold press for 6-8 reps (increase weight as soon as you can hit 8 on first set), and 3 sets reverse flies...

How do y’all eat so much protein?

@kim2116 I added links above if you want reputable sources. There's no reason for a woman to eat 135g of protein unless she is on roids. A high protein diet would be 80-100g.

How do I get my cardio/running heart rate down? I already run slowly

@miguel1 This just simply isn't true. 180-185 bpm has been my sustainable workout HR for the last 20 years. Once I start getting above 185-190 I have to stop, although I did manage to get to 203 once doing sprint work. Those tables are built on averages, and the word "sustainable" is very...

How do y’all eat so much protein?

@music2jesus No, they're not. They're recommended allowances and there is wiggle room on both sides. The medical community recommends 56g for men and 46g for women. 1 g/kg will get you significantly more than that. 135g is excessive for most people, and particularly for a woman.

@kim2116 This is meme. You need 1-1.2 g / kg of lean body mass a day. For most men, that's 60-100g and most women is 50-85. Edit: JFC you people are brainwashed by people on gear. https://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/protein...

How do y’all eat so much protein?

@dawn16 Because there are videos on YouTube of big stronk mens recommending 0.8-1 g/lb vice 1-1.2 g / kg. Meanwhile that gets you triple what the medical community recommends.

How do I start as a beginner with back and knee pain? I think the knee pain is due to weight 30/F/72kg/UK

@alan7057 The medical consensus for conservative treatment of soft tissue injuries / pain in a young adult is NSAIDs (short term) + exercise to strengthen muscles / tendons (mid-term) + diet to keep off excess weight (long-term). If popping some Advil gets him into the gym, then that's a...

How do I start as a beginner with back and knee pain? I think the knee pain is due to weight 30/F/72kg/UK

@ctrowland Take 800 mg of ibuprofin 3x a day. If you're still experiencing pain after this, also take 650 mg acetaminophen every 4 hours (take it halfway between your ibuprofin doses). Those posts are idiots. It's difficult to answer this question without knowing the kind of pain you're...

I cant lift more than 10 kilos in bicep curls. It’s been like this for 8 months

@vincentleo Since no one has actually given you what to do in the gym: You are stalling because you aren't employing progressive overload. Increase the weight anyway and do fewer reps. An example would look like: Week 1: 30 lb x 5-6 on set 1 (and 5-6 or to failure on all other sets...
