Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@marvindy 20-30 mins, unless I’m feeling particularly energetic. Sometimes I feel like I should be doing 45 minute rides but I’m all about what’s gonna get it done, and if I feel like I have to do 45 minute rides it’s gonna happen less often than if I say 20 mins is ok

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@sassyashy08 Deadlifts fucking killed me today. Like they sucked all the energy I could have possibly had for the rest of the day out of my body by 7:30am. Husband asked what I was doing tonight around 7pm and I told him I was ready for bed.

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@acco340 I follow Stronger by the Day programming. I do 4 days of lifting, usually MTTF. My current goal is 2 cardio sessions and a daily walk. Walks usually happen unless the weather is nasty. Cardio is either a spin bike ride (I use the peloton app at home) or a 2-3 mile jog. I feel like I...

Which documentaries or videos helped motivate you greatly in taking health/fitness seriously?

@pasifika Seeing my parents and in-laws and their friends who are late 50s to late 60s stresses me out. So many of them are unable to walk around the block without pain. My mom is relatively healthy at 67 but has had knee issues her whole life that have limited her ability to exercise and she...

How do you pump yourself up to go hard?

@allthingsarebecomenew This is what I came here to say as well - consistently doing what you consider a "half-assed" workout is better than nothing. Don't get in your head about how hard you're pushing to the point that you feel like it's not worth going. Been there, done that. There's...

Why am I so bad at running, but do well in other cardio related activities?

@prophetic774 THIS. SO MUCH. I did some longer distances but it never got easy. My quickest half marathon was 13:00/mile. I stumbled on a video about cadence recently and saw that my average was 145-150. Even like 2 miles didn't feel great. I tried taking shorter, quicker strides and instantly...

Workout Equipment You Love vs. Never Use

@aladinjafar I never thought about using a cable system for hamstring curls!! I've been putting a dumbbell between my feet and I can really only manage so much with that setup. I have the full lat tower attachment for my Titan rack and I've only done lat stuff & cable rows. I also need a...

Do any of you just NOT have defined goals?

@mayne70 My goals are consistency. I focused a ton on both fat loss and numbers goals for a while and then life got crazy and I just want to stay active. I don't have the mental bandwidth to focus on specific numbers beyond hitting my days per week of lifting and cardio. I like it better this...
