    6-week mini cut results

@capebuffalo I didnt cut...I just lifted as heavy as I could and when I plateaued I'd add like 50 cal to my day and then stay there for awhile until I plateaued again. It was a very slow recomp. I should also note that I didnt add any calories if my lifts were progressing. My lifts went from a...

    6-week mini cut results

@walknlight I did something similar over the last 2 years. I’m also 5’2 and had been weighing between 112 and 114 with a maintenance of about 1400 with heavy weight training. I gradually increased my calories to where I was maintaining closer to 2000 a day (pre covid shutdown) and weighing...

    UPDATE: girly home gym completed

@benf What I do on my carpet is use one of those grippy-bottomed yoga towels. (Yogi-toes is the brand I have). It stays put on the carpet, has a good surface so you dont slide (i used to use it on top of my yoga mat b/c I get too sweaty and slide around otherwise), and it protects your carpet...

Why you should pay attention to your Menstrual Cycle as a woman - A breakdown of "The Women's Book Vol 1" by Lyle Mcdonald /w Eric Helms

@dawn16 Totally anecdotal, but I typically am 3-5 lbs lighter on BC than off it. I attribute this to having a more even hormonal profile and not having extra water weight.

Why you should pay attention to your Menstrual Cycle as a woman - A breakdown of "The Women's Book Vol 1" by Lyle Mcdonald /w Eric Helms

@casapollo I was thinking something similar. I was 14 when I got my period, but I was only 4'11. Thank goodness I grew those extra 3 inches by age 22.

Why you should pay attention to your Menstrual Cycle as a woman - A breakdown of "The Women's Book Vol 1" by Lyle Mcdonald /w Eric Helms

@sandiegopilot No other ones. Took the same one for about 20years with no pms and super light periods. The late 30s shock of the peri symptoms while on the pill really took me by surprise.

Taller ladies with very long femurs - Does Squatting Ever Get Easier?

@faithfulsteward7 I'm short but also all femur. I've been lifting for 10 years and squats still feel like my nemesis. I can deadlift twice my body weight like a champ but barely can squat my body weight to depth. I have lifting shoes which create a small wedge and that has helped along with...

Why you should pay attention to your Menstrual Cycle as a woman - A breakdown of "The Women's Book Vol 1" by Lyle Mcdonald /w Eric Helms

@sandiegopilot I’m still having the same experience and had just been dealing with it by taking a deload or lighter week in combination with eating less strict. I did find I could up my calories that week and not gain weight at all. However just this past month I switched bc pills. I’m hoping...

Why you should pay attention to your Menstrual Cycle as a woman - A breakdown of "The Women's Book Vol 1" by Lyle Mcdonald /w Eric Helms

@great_depression I'm going to have to get this book now, b/c as a woman who just turned 40 I feel like my phases have gotten extreme in the last few years. In particular, I have sensitivity to weight training in the late luteal phase. I feel joint pain and fatigue during that week (which I...
