    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@john0733 Lucky me, the guy whose whole workout is just pullups throughout the day, and walking/biking as my commute.

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@hailsatan420 On the "bang out" bit - I ofc meant, "progess into them properly, working up in volume, etc." Just not to look at dips too hard right now, and make pushups my main pushing movement for a while. But I appreciate you looking out for me!

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@hailsatan420 So basically, bang out tons of pushups for now, and work on supporting yourself in a variety of positions in the dip before going through and actually dipping.

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@hailsatan420 Frankly, I'm not interested in the bench at all. For weights, it's overhead or nothing for me. Not gonna be competing in powerlifting, so it's less about the big 3 for me. Pushups are kinda having a renaissance for me, here - for years I've mentally tucked them away as being too...

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@kywy Yeah been thinking of eventually paying that dude. I say that having no clue about his rates or how far you can get with his free material.

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@esperanza20 I was thinking of just being not too strict with it, in the sense that I'd start at a relatively easy weight in an OHP workout, and strict press it. Once I got to a weight I wasn't able to strict press for more than a couple weights, then it'd become a push press. Kinda two birds...

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

@snorks4lyfe I love the vibe of your advice, but do me a favor - make it a bit more specific? My brain-dead ass doesn't know what to do with this.

@meka54 That's an interesting point, never considered it.

    Safest pressing exercise for shoulders

Read that dips are actually pretty rough on the shoulders, and to be straight-up avoided if you're into throwing sports - I'd like to get into some recreational throwing, from SCA thrown weapons to Highland Games-type stuff. Fine, pushups. But isn't bench press notorious as a shoulder wrecker...

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

@missmariemonique So sounds like I'll start with following this, and build up to doing tons of negatives as well as rows.

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

@sarangapani Nice. Dunno about inverted rows, but yeah sounds like my calisthenics park workouts will be lots of hanging, brachiation, and rows. Throughout the day at home, spam cable work.

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

@godskeyholder4u Can you use a towel instead of the flexbar, or something? Everyone keeps telling me to buy things and spend money on a PT, when I'm already couchsurfing to survive right now.

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

    @emyrs How'd you shake it?

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

@dawn16 So why was the whole internet harping on making sure to do it, to get the most outta your pulling?

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

@cmfsd Once it's healed, though, back to ring-finger-pulling?
  17. H

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

@cmfsd Wasn't everyone's advice to pull through the ring finger in order to recruit the most pulling?

Golfers Elbow Just As I Was Getting Back Into It

Kinda a precarious financial situation these days, and schedule's consequently hectic - balancing between trying not to end up homeless, and preparing myself for that worst-case scenario. So I told myself while handling that, just work pullup negatives throughout the day to get pullups back, at...
