Has anyone had a silly “lightbulb” moment while exercising?

@christoph2005 I think there’s a difference between engaging a muscle and using it for a lift. For example, I use my core a lot to STOP me “swinging” when I do bicep curls. Basically I use other muscles to help me isolate the ones I’m using for the lift. Idk if I’m making sense. You should...

Recruit the Glutes!: An XXFitness Collaboration

@rileyargo This sounds fantastic. I don't have time to do a routine longer than 40 minutes in total including warm-up/activation but I may be able to in the (not too distant) future, saving this for then!!!

Very uplifting article I found about female strength training. Belief in yourself and your abilities is so important!!

@christi79 This fucked me up: “There are more men in sports, so at the elite level, the selection to get to the top level is stronger. Elite male athletes are likely the best the male race has to offer. For women there may be more potential world record holders that will never know it because...

Looking for feedback on my current diet

@kairyudo This is diet food. People who say that 1700 or even 2000 calories is “soooo much food” have a dieters mentality and eat the food people who diet eat. This was me for months, couldn’t figure it out? But if it was “soooo much food” really nobody would ever get overweight. You’re...

    Discepline v.s. soreness

@graceunstoppable I used to get WICKED bad, can't walk 48hrs afterward hamstring DOMS from RDL's. I was doing them once a week. Started doing them twice a week and pushed through the pain. Turned out doing them more often stopped the soreness. Counter-intuitive but very very real.

Squatting AtG is not necessarily better than parallel

@roger5599 I have very flexible/loose hips so dropping into a full/ATG squat is very natural for me. It was absolutely hindering my progress doing that because it was too easy and I wasn’t exercising any core control while executing squats this way - I was just ‘falling’ into the bottom of the...

    DEXA Results: 5'6''| 24 y.o. | 139lbs (63kg) | 24%. Cardio Bunny/HIIT Lover Ambivalent towards Past Year of Lifting

@amytai Omg we are so close to being stat twins but still have extremely different bodies! Same height, similar weight though you probably have more muscle at 63kg than I do at 60kg (you look leaner and I'm fairly certain my current bf% would be about 25%) - I'm slightly more of a pear than you...
