@courtneym I actually do the lagree method which gets annoyed if you call it reformer Pilates (the lagree dude seems kinda douchey) but it adds a lot more resistance with spring load. So it’s heavy slow controlled movements.
@ernesto96 I think that happens to people when they bulk sometimes, that they get bigger not where they were planning to grow muscles and then have regrets :p
@courtneym I do reformer Pilates 5 days a week and hike about 30-40 miles a month. (Most of those are shorter trails to walk my dog) and then like regular riding bikes with my kids in our hilly neighborhood. my progress!
@lapinot So my gym is doing a competition for 6 weeks and one of the trainers has been going HARD this month to encourage other people and just did a 3 week check up where he apparently gained 3lbs of fat in his 3 weeks of working out like a beast. 🤨
@lapinot I JUST had this happen but I’m way taller. I went from 22 to 20% in six months and back to 22 and maintained my weight. I look most muscular and can do way harder things now so I sort of think it’s BS.
@yourservant I mean in clothes we probably look close to identical! I feel like I spent a lot of my younger years obsessing over my measurements and the number on the scale, but now I mostly am working to not fall apart as I age.
@whatgoeshere My husbands uncle is a juiced up bodybuilder and has dated a series of women he has trained. One of them used to carry him piggy back and run along the beach and I always tell my husband that’s my goal for us too. 🤣
tried practicing with 120lbs of kid but they suck at holding on.
@josh88 I actually got to 80% of my weight in a last pull down and realized it didn’t help my pull-up at all. Just doing pull ups with bands helped me get there. I can do like 6-7 chin ups and 2 pull ups haha
